    Please use this thread as a place to ask questions that are specific to your save, such as:

    • "Why is my tactic not working?"

    If you are asking for tactical help/advice, please post an image of your formation and what insutructions/roles you have set.

    FM20/21 Board pays for player with expiring contract

    (I'm playing FM20 still but I bet it's the same in 21 anyways)

    So I wanted to get Donnarumma after the end of his contract for free, but my salary budget was too low because I bought other players in winter already. Winter transfer window is closed already.

    I ask my board to deal with it. They are paying 58M€ for him and he's joining in the summer when his contract expires anyways.

    What the fuck.

    A save which started with trying to keep a 10,000-1 odds team in the Argentine 2nd tier, then 7 seasons turning a Colombian 2nd tier side into a powerhouse - then being approached by the team that became the best on the continent. It's been one hell of a ride in this save.

    Should I use football manager data as the primary data source for my MSC thesis?

    Hey guys,

    As the title suggests, I'm doing my masters thesis in Economics, paying particular attention to the field of labour Economics, and how earnings are determined for footballers. Since this data isn't readily available, I was wondering if I should use FM data as my primary dataset to conduct my thesis? I know it's not going to be 100% accurate on wage information, but I'd gather SI put enough effort and resources into researching that stuff, and so I'll probably get a pretty accurate indicator of where most players wages are at?

    Anyone have any thoughts on this?
