    [Suggestion] I have designed a deep character creation system UI/UX for Football Manager.

    Hello folks.
    Football manager 2020 was advertised with the sentence "Create the future" and we all know how amazing it can be, however after we create our manager game always generates a bit about our past too, in my opinion in a very disappointing way. After playing M&B Bannerlord an idea came right to my head when I was creating my character. What if we could create not only the future but also be the director of our past in Football Manager? I don't know how much of you brothers pay attention to that- but I would love to have deeper character creation and also more "sims-like" mechanics in the game but today I want to present for you only my proposition of character creator for FM. I will try to explain it step by step. I have designed the User Interface in my style - but it's all about the User experience, the mechanics I've included in the design, not about the look itself, but if you appreciate it - it's very nice for me too.

    Please don't pay too much attention to the numbers, statistics, and how choices are written. I've not been spending too much time for it to make perfect sense, but I want to keep the basic logic here. For that reason, i also removed GK statistics just because it doesn't fit well to the design but it would be needed in the game anyway. I would like to know your opinions about the system of creating the character itself. but every other comment is warm welcomed too. I've presented for you just one of many ways of creation.

    First question in creator

    First of all - There is a top informations tab, about our current license, career history and also a style we will managing the team - we'll be back to this later. There are basic pieces of information preview on the right but in the perfect design I would include the full 3d render of manager (with various dressing options) instead of a bald head, but I don't have the skill to render something like this on my own, so I just included the bald dude.

    There is a question tab and possible answers appear, after hovering the question we can preview what influence of our statistics it will get. We can create a manager who has no idea about managing a team or already experienced human being with a lot of background knowledge. Currently spending skill points feel like playing on the creative mode in Minecraft, we can make everything but it's not satisfying at all, because we just pick the numbers, and the history of our beloved manager exist only in our mind.

    Choosing our player position as youngster

    Football manager always generates a short report and history about our player, how much we played international, and how much we scored I believe. Depends on what we have chosen in the creator. But how nice it would be if we could write full of our story?

    You want to be focused on training youngsters because you have been part of your family academy or maybe you already have scouting experience and big knowledge about the football world? Well, now it's all part of your history and every choice matters. This question is opening many ways depends on what you will choose.

    Create your own club history

    As I've said game generates a basic report of our football past. But imagine having a tab like players in football manager, where you can preview your club career. Every team step by step and goals scored? Wouldn't it be amazing? Maybe go from a club legend player to a manager story? Or be like Zizou? Choosing your final club and previous choices of how good player you've been generates 7 options for your possible past football experience and 1 option of being a loyal member of the club. It's supposed to draw a few teams with a suitable reputation to present the most realistic choices to make. Choosing your football past also has an impact on your statistics. Playing for Liverpool gives you more skill points in tactic than playing in Legia Warsaw, changing the clubs often gives you a bonus to adaptability when staying in one club is not. Clubs you've been part of has 5-star academy? So you know how to work with youth then. It all matters. Now the career status has changed to the pro level.

    Simply choosing your international way with statistics matched to the position

    We've now international experienced player with a lot of football and coaching background, now it's the time to grab some licenses.

    Finally, the style picker which also influent all statistics, in my mind it can work as a bonus. For example, as a tactician, you are receiving 2x more tactical statistics.

    After getting the license and choosing your style, there is no more to do, you are ready to go. Time to continue writing the story on blank pages.

    I was just playing my late night FM save while on the transfer window and I really felt the need to share this: What if we had tabs? When you're searching for a player, but then you remember another thing you wanted to see, and you have to exit the player tab and go see the other thing. It would be so useful! What are your thoughts?

    I have had 3 this summer alone...

    Firstly I was on the verge of signing what I deemed to be the new German wonderkid for my Stuttgart team. He had everything I needed and he wasnt very expensive. Annoyingly I had to wait until I had sold players so I delayed the confirmation as per. I sell the players and ask for confirmation, only for my director of football to cancel the deal because the player was still mere days away of recovering from an injury. I had no choice on that matter.

    Then, the same director of football decided he would accept a ridiculously low offer for my CB prospect. Less than 3 million for a 5* Potential home grown player that was starting for me at the end of the season before. Could not unaccept it. They thought it was too good to turn down.

    Lastly and this was definitely my fault. Kind of. I had sorted everything out with my team. Decided the squad etc. So I holidayed the last week before the start of the season. I had something to do and figured I could come back to the first game. What I didnt realise was the official registration for the bundesliga hadn't come up (I thought it had) and my assistant, bless him, decided to unregister 3 of my starting 11. Not sure why the game is programmed to do that. They were definitely registered before.
