What is the worst league to manage in?

    Posted: 27 Apr 2022 07:20 AM PDT

There have been plenty of threads on the best league to manage in, but what is the worst in your opinion?

Imo, it's Fiji. Only 14 Games, but 3 cups against the same teams. Only 6 Foreigners. Players get a game suspension after 2 yellow cards, and another game after every additional yellow card.

    People Management: 20

My absurd tactic. No strikers or attacking mid, one winger and doubled up right backs. 20 points clear at the top of the table.

This is crazy to me, 9/10 POTY Contenders are my players

Which team do you start your career with?

    Posted: 27 Apr 2022 03:47 AM PDT

Yesterday we discussed the age of our manager when starting a new game. Two main camps were evident: 1a) real age even if it is too young, the narrative of a coaching wonderkid or an injured-forced to retire footballer, 1b) real age but if it too young start from lower division, 2) imagined age somewhere between 35-40, the narrative of a retired football player.

My question today is which team did you chose starting a game? And the logic behind it. Favorite team? Random? Lower division? National team? Unemployed?

I played for almost 15 years now. Used to choose the team that I support in real life although it seems a bit unrealistic. Recent years I prefer to start unemployed but with above average characteristics and background.

In my current game, I started as unemployed and in november my favourite team sacked its manager and I apllied and got the position. (Probably too good profile characteristics, dont remeber exactly right now). My team is Panathinaikos. I am now starting my fifth season over there.

I was very glad that I combined the unemployed start with first job in my favorite team. Unrealistic, I know, but the team has significant problems the previous years, debts, europe ban and so on and they chose a young talented coach to lead them forward. Unfortunately, no trophy yet: two times second place, two Cup semi finals, one Euro Cup II/Conference Leafue final.

To whoever recommended playing a friendly against the worst team possible in pre-season to boost morale, thank you

    Idea for future FMs?

    Posted: 27 Apr 2022 01:19 PM PDT

Some of you may remember that fifas 2010 South Africa World Cup game had a "change history" type game mode where you took over at a pivotal moment during a game/ campaign.

I think it'd be amazing if they were able to do similar in FM.

Every February update you have the ability to take over a club with the league tables correct as of January 31st (general end of transfer window)

so if a team is sitting relegation bound you can take over and try and drag them out or if there's a title challenge similarly you can take over after January and try and push for the title, European football etc.

Players' best role and duty as recommended by assistant manager

    Posted: 27 Apr 2022 04:16 AM PDT

Hey does anyone know if the quality of your assistant manager influences the accuracy of the role and duty combo that they recommend for your players?

For example for someone like Mo Salah, if my assistant manager had terrible stats for maybe something like judging player ability, would he suggest to me that Salah's best role is as a wide target man with a support duty, compared to a better quality assistant manager advising he should be used as an attacking inside forward?

hope that question makes sense, just curious more than anything to see if anyone has spotted the recommended role/duty change as they change staff or as a players attributes develop and change over time

equally if anyone has any insight in general as to how the recommended duty/role is generated I'd be very interested to know!

    thanks in advance
