After a boring 120 minutes, my GK scored the winning penalty in the UCL final!! (I would've punched the screen if I lost on pens because i couldn't score from 29 shots ��)

I hate this game.
I moved a Tuvaluan club to the Prem and the board randomly decided to build a 75k capacity stadium.
Pulling my hair out. First year playing FM properly. Scoring 2 or 3 a game but conceeding 4 or 5. Penalties, red cards etc. Not looking for a fix-all but some advice would be so appreciated ♥

After months of playing FM properly (no save scumming) and multiple different saves, I have finally gained promotion from a lower league to a top division on my own merit. One of the best gaming moments I've ever had

What is it for you that makes Football Manager so addictive?

For me, I enjoy the in-depth realism of the game. It immerses you subconsciously. You can't leave it on a win, you want to keep going. And when you lose, you need to get that one win to turn things around.

Furthermore, for me it creates an element of suspense, drama and inevitable ectasy/letdown (delete as appropriate) in every possible scenario. For example, in Season 3 of my current Notts County save, the GK kicked the ball straight to an opposition player which lost us the title on the penultimate gameweek.

But I know there is so much more to it than that, and my little title loss is just a small part of the bigger FM picture.

But what is it for you guys that makes the game so addictive?
