Just reached the year 2100 on my save, here's some interesting stats and results

    Posted: 06 Aug 2021 03:02 PM PDT

Just wanna preface this by saying that, aside from one time, I've never managed a team in this save, I just go on holiday and let the world do its thing, anyways here's some stats

    Club Football

    Premier League Results

Total Wins by Team since 2020:
    Man City: 31
    Liverpool: 13
    Arsenal: 12
    Chelsea: 9 Newcastle: 4
    Norwich: 4 Tottenham: 3
    Man Utd: 2
    West Ham: 1
    Stoke: 1

Biggest shock of the Prem has to be both Tottenham and United going to shit. Both practically always finish as a mid-table side now. United finished just 3 points away from relegation in the 71/72 season, their lowest finish in the modern day.

Not going to be writing out the total wins for the rest of the leagues as it's basically the same 3 or 4 teams winning

    Bundesliga Results
When I've done simulation saves like this one in the past, Bayern usually dominate until the mid 2050s, so I was really surprised to see Dortmund, Hertha, and Leipzig start winning titles so early

    Serie A Results
Became a lot more balanced in the last few decades, but Juventus were basically unstoppable for a while. Their best streak was 19 years of winning the title, and they nearly won it for 27 straight, if it wasn't for Milan and Atalanta

    LaLiga Results
The two Madrid's basically ran the league for a while (around 25 years) because Barca fell apart for a bit. Sevilla finally got their second La Liga title at the turn of the century, and Atletico had 9 consecutive years of second placed finishes between 2025/26 and 2034/35

Ligue 1 Results PSG had basically the best run I've ever seen in any FM save. Won the title consecutively for 37 years (2017/18-2054/55), and the suddenly the entire French league reached their level. In the 45 or so seasons since 55/ PSG have only won the title 7 times. AJ Auxerre are the biggest surprise of this save (for Club Football, at least). I hadn't even heard of them until about 5 days ago, and they've now won the league 5 times in the last decade, as well as producing one of the best French players of all time, but I'll get to that later

    UEFA Champions League Results
I find it pretty funny that Atalanta, Hertha, Norwich, and Celtic have all won a title before PSG has. PSG also haven't made the final in about 40 years

    International Football

    UEFA European Championship Results
The big 5 European nations have all won the title at least once, with Spain and Italy being the most dominant. Turkey, Scotland, Ukraine, and Ireland getting the title were all pretty big upsets. Slovakia had a good international run from 2040-2060, reaching two EURO finals, a Nations League final, and a quarter-final of a WC. Norway are pretty surprising without context, but they've somehow become one of the best countries in the world in the last 15 or so years, so it makes sense they'd get their title.

    FIFA World Cup Results
Austria, Scotland, and Mexico are the big shock winners here. Scotland and Mexico have both been pretty consistently good, but Austria not so much, only going as far as the last 16 since their win. Brazil have been to 4 finals, but only won once. England became only the third team to win consecutive titles, and Argentina haven't been to the semi-finals since 2030 despite having like 3 golden generations of players. And the 2098 World Cup was absolutely bonkers.

    World Rankings rank 1-29

    Players
Because there's so many, I can't keep track of every world beater. That being said, here's a few of the best players I've seen since 2021
Fabian Ostermann of Germany was easily the best player I've ever seen, winning eight Ballon d'or (SEVEN of them consecutively) and scoring 441 career goals, guy was a beast.

Anyway those are just a few things I'd thought I'd share. If anyone has a league/player/team they'd want to see let me known and I'll show you the results

    Thanks UEFA.

Here is my starting striker for the past 3 years. Here is his little brother that just came through my academy. Didn't even know this was possible.

Mikel Arteta sacked as Everton boss after 5 months on the job. Hired as Barcelona manager 2 months later. Falling upwards.

Has anything (in game) made you stop playing the game

    Hello all,

Today i was reminded of the time when i quit FM for over 6 years. Not a rage quit as such but just disappointed and frustrated beyond belief.

In my FM15 journey man save i had started and gone Brentford > Fiorentina > AC Milan > Man City. Brentford i won the FA cup and got promoted after 2 years and kept the team up, turned Fiorentina into title contenders and won SeireA twice in 5 seasons with AC Milan. Then the shift to Man City where i was tasked to win the CL and league.

The team was old and needed massive changes. My main target was an 19 year old Argentinian wonder kid called Delgardo, heralded as the next Messi he already had 5 caps and 3 goals at international level. All summer long i battled Man Utd, Chelsea, Inter Milan, Barca and R.Madrid for his signature and eventually signed him for 93m on a 150k a week contract plus bonuses.

In the first game of the season he got sent off at home to Hull in the 4th minuet and was fined one weeks wages....what followed was nothing but the biggest strop i have ever seen. Not only did he complain to me but he also went to the press and said he would never play for us again. Every time i tried to play him he just never bothered to even try and i would sub him at half time with 6.10 or 6.30 ratings. He kept talking to the press about how bad i was treating him and kept asking for a transfer request.

All of this within his first month at the club, i put him in the u18s on goalkeeper training, relegating him to league and fa cup matches. Ironically he scored the winning goal in that seasons cup final but still acted like a twat when i congratulated him. I transfer listed him that summer and it took another year of him playing now sporadic cup matches until he was signed by R.Madrid for 15 million. Hands down the worst signing in any FM save. 18 appearances, 2 goals in two seasons.

Skip forward 5 seasons and i have won 2 CL, 3 league titles, 3 fa cups and 1 league cup with Man City. A new stadium is being built and what who do the board name it after.....why Delgardo of course, my two season flop. They heralded him as a Man City icon and legend and someone who all fans loved and admired....a player who didnt even make more than 1 league start.

I turned off the game and uninstalled it from my steam library.

It wasnt until a few months ago that i got back into FM...now i refuse to sign Argentinian players.

Whats your moment/experience that made you quit or turn off the game for awhile.

My Wife Knows How To Transfer My Save To Me

    Posted: 06 Aug 2021 09:48 PM PDT

Just wanted to honour my wife and suggest how helpful it is to have someone who can drop whatever so-called house chores and superior career/hobby she has to help me out

A quick FYI, I travel to work sometimes and bring my laptop with me to host a FM save I have with my mate (ever since FM07). On two occassions, I've been unfortunate enough to forget to transfer my save from my PC to my Laptop (and I don't do cloud saving because Steam has an issue with it on my computer). So yeah, she loads up my PC (she isn't that techy either) and finds my save and uploads it for me to download. Cheers wifey!

Wondered who this testimonial was for. Then realised it was a player who was already at my club 14 years ago, who has sat in the reserves and I never even realised he existed. So, William Harrison, enjoy your testimonial!

Everybody in my first team has an average of 7+ rating, I've never had this happen before

    Bloody club takeovers

    Posted: 06 Aug 2021 02:20 PM PDT

Had my first club takeover that didn't immediately lead to my firing today. Overall it was pretty promising, one of board's expectations was to maintain the greatest youth youth in the league and in the world which is in line to what I do in my saves anyway.

.... And then they also decided to do me a favour and buy Pedro Neto alonsgside Bukayo Saka......... for a total of £268 million. That'd be great news, if I didn't already have better players in both of their roles, and if their salaries didn't absolutely demolish my wage structure. Pedro Neto won't even be the 2nd striker, let alone a star player for Christ's sake.

Do these takeovers honestly ever go well? Just let me run my club you bastards.

Leicester club vision seems to be 'Become Torino'. They've spent £163,000,000 on three of my best players already.

Might be time to find some new scouts considering my current ones can't even figure out the name of the players on my team.

What is everyones worst piece of business in FM? Think this takes the cake for me!

    Posted: 06 Aug 2021 01:23 AM PDT

Signed him when I was in the second division for 550k, he helped me get promoted and eventually became a world class player. He's now my captain for both club and country and we've won everything there is to win together, both club-wise and internationally, including the euros, today.

    Modding in FMs

    Posted: 06 Aug 2021 03:33 PM PDT

Hi, argentine player here. I was thinking about how argentine football, club business, and life in general is always affected by the high levels of corruption of power. Soooo, I always thought it would be really cool to add that into the game, kinda like random events that would shake up team morale, finances, player relationships, or whatever,

How would one go about adding something like this to the game ? Any experience on the subject ? I would also love to hear cool additions you thought of sometime !

Bayern only saved themselves on the last day! Always interesting when a big team is fighting against relegation!

I got San Marino to the 2028 Euro's

I got San Marino to the 2028 Euro's

\Completely unrelated before I start, I must say, that these Olympics have been amazing for San Marino. Winning their first Olympic medals in history, and to top it off, they won 3 medals, and only sent 5 athletes to compete**

    Manager Stats

Now, I know I will be absolutely demolised in the Euro's, but I am just happy to be there.

Although, I think the biggest shock - at least, in my inexperienced opinion - was the fact that Portugal failed to qualify to the big tournament.
