    Mods hope you are okay with me posting this! Wanted to write this post as I think some of you may have considered this before but never actively pursued it and FM was a starting point for me in realising I wanted to make it happen.

    So I've played FM since I was about 14, my first copy was of FM 2006 which I bought for 50p at a car boot sale and I have played them every year since. I've always been the kind of person who loved football, spending copious amounts of time and money following Tottenham (often to my despair) but being fundamentally aweful at the game itself. Never did I think I could do something to get in the game.

    Fast forward to being in covid times and a soulless graduate job and I was in the same shitter most of us found ourselves in the last 18 months. One of the things that gave me some attention and took my mind off the shit was sinking deep back into FM. Eventually I got too bored of being inside on furlough still so at the start of 2021 I decided to reach out to local teams to help and see if they had some work that a volunteer could do. A couple of weeks later I was painting toilets at my local step 6 club. Obviously this made me go away and download the extended database with the club included. One day a few weeks later when I was at the club and the manager was there I got to talking about the team and how I worked with data and had built and maintained databases in the past for work.

    6 months later we have just finished pre season and had our first game. I am now the goalkeeper coach and data analyst for the team. The game ended with a 92nd minute winner from a set piece to give us a 2-1 win after being 1-0 down at halftime. I can tell you this there's something seeing it on a PC and there is another being out there as a part of a team making it happen. Most of you probably wouldn't think of it as attainable but I'm 100% sure there's people on here that could have a role in a football team and although I'm only in the lower leagues myself I can see that potentially I could do this as a job.

    I'm happy to give help either building a database or giving some ideas on what you can do but there are so many non league clubs screaming for help right now and think it could be an option to a lot of you!

    Who's been your best signing this year? Not so much most expensive etc, but one that's just exceeded your expectations so much.

    Mines personally is Thiago Almada on my Celtic save, comfortably got 15+ goals and 20+ assists each season

    Decided to create a club in the editor for a town in Southern Spain I visited a few years ago. Their stadium is in the mountains and overlooks the town below. Hoping to take them to LaLiga, but starting off as an Amateur team in the regional leagues. Logo is theirs, but I made custom kits for them.

    Started playing FM for the very first time and just won my first trophy! Martial off the bench on 67' and bagged the winner 2 minutes later!Having so much fun learning about the game, Fifa just wasn't cutting it for me anymore and I think I'll never look back!

    FM should allow a manager set scouting assignments alongside Chief Scout.

    Personally I like to manage mid table teams from top divisions, or sometimes I like to take over teams in England, usually League One or the Championship. What about you?
