    Stopped save scumming, and it made FM so much more enjoyable for me.

    FM20 was my first FM and it hooked me right away. The addiction became too much at some point when I started to think about the game at work and getting angry and upset when I lost games. Whenever I would go on a lose streak, I would save scum before the match I lost over and over again, till I won. Due to this addiction I stopped playing for months, but bought FM21 when it was on sale this year.

    Started my regular save as my boyhood club and worked my way up without save scumming. Lost three promotions and the temptation to save scum was high, but man does it feel rewarding when I finally won that promotion on my fourth try! It felt earned. All the tactics I tried out, players I bought and sold, along with keeping a good relationship with players and good morale within the group, finally payed off.

    If you have a problem with save scumming, then just stop it right away cause the game feels more rewarding and exciting without it. Football matches out in the real world can't be redone. Thats why we love this beautiful game!

    What 'New' or 'Improved' features would get you to purchase FM22? Discussion!

    Hello everyone!

    With only a few months left before we start getting some serious FM22 information, I am mostly curious on what would convince people to jump into the next version, compared to what they are using now. As we know, FM21 had the enormous match engine update and while still not perfect, was more than worth it for a lot of people. So try and frame these as what would get you to BUY the new game, not what you want to see. Think hard about what exactly you would drop money on a new game would actually be.

    As a caveat before I list mine, don't dunk on anyone's ideas! We all play the game differently and more than likely, someone else idea would not even affect the way you play. This is mostly a discussion about all the things we all want to make our game better. Here we go!

    ​

    1. Complete upgrade to Set Pieces - This is probably would get me to instantly buy the new game, if implemented properly. Allow me to set priorities for positions, allow me to train specific ones, allow me to make on the fly changes so I don't get hit on a 4 v 2 counter attack. Nearly every aspect of the current set piece system needs to be upgraded and is woefully underdeveloped.
    2. International Management Overhaul - I know this has been asked for forever, but a fully fleshed out system for international management instead of just something you do in the background would be amazing. In particular, allowing the ability to actually manage ONLY an international team while giving me actual choices like talking to club coaches, an actual recruitment system for dual nationals, etc.
    3. Reactive and Proactive Social System - This one is a bit harder, but making the social aspect of the game more dynamic would be high on my list of what I would pay actual money for. Right now, all we do is mindlessly click the buttons to make players happy or make the press happy. Having an actual social system instead of playing whack-a-mole with the answers. Also, two words. Team Talks.
    4. The Women's Game - Obviously, this is no where near as developed or globally important as the Men's Game, but I would pay real legitimate money for a fleshed out Women's Game. Some have said it would just be the same, but honestly there are so many different variables that come into play. From the lack of money, to the different national team rankings, to the completely different dynamics of the Women's Game. As well, in a perfect simulation, you would actually have to use completely different tactics for the Women's game as they have far different spread of statistics based on the way the game is played. Sure, a Mod could do all of this, but I'd rather see something official.

    I'm sure there are tons more ideas out there, but as for what would actually get me to upgrade and spend (another) $60 on FM22, these are the top of my list.

    Yeah, I knew that I was the weakest team in the World Cup, in a group that all the teams were in the Top 20, but I thought that maybe, just maybe that I would get a point, or perhaps score more goals. But, that wasn't the case.

    First Match vs Brazil

    Second Match vs Sweden

    Third Match vs Senegal

    But, at I think that I can take away from this match, is the fact that I did score 2 goals in my very first run for the World Cup, and keeping Brazil to 2 goals only. I still don't know how that happened, then somehow, I concede 7 goals vs Sweden.

    I have done a lot of first seasons with Aston Villa to learn FM, but this is by far my greatest season ever in FM. (First time I won Coach of the Year also)
