In 2017 I played an FA Cup final in Wembley. It did not go as planned... What's the most unique place you've played FM?
So I have started a save with Monster Energy takeovers in England, Japan, Egypt and Brazil in order to overthrow the Red Bull's empire. More updates about it soon when I finish a season!

So 96 points and a 23 game unbeaten run at the end of the season wasn’t enough to beat PSG for the title. RIP. Only conceded 16 as well.

Please use this thread as a place to ask questions that are specific to your save, such as:

"Why is my tactic not working?"
"What role should I play this player in?"
"I have £xxm to spend, who should I buy?"

If you are asking for tactical help/advice, please post an image of your formation and what insutructions/roles you have set.

As a rule of thumb, if you ask a question, answer a question. This is what keeps this thread alive and useful.

Also, please remember that the team suggestion thread can be found in the sidebar, so please use that and give your suggestions to people there too!

FM is the reason I got my first commentator job this season.

Late one night, I was scouring MLS academies for my St Pauli save, and as I always do, I checked my hometown club Nashville SC first so I go into the search bar and type Nashville, and alongside the usuals, the club, the new stadium (that the club never seems to move into), and the academy, is a club I'd never heard of, Nashville Knights FC.

On a whim I go googling and find they're a almost brand new UPSL club and they've recently rebranded to Music City SC. I saw a couple of their games their first season had been streamed, and they didn't have anyone doing commentary. I'm a sports media major in college, and I want play-by-play to be my career, so I hopped in their Instagram DMs and asked if they needed/wanted a commentator. A few days later after some talking I'm their play-by-play guy.

I got welcomed into the club with open arms, and I got to meet a lot of people I otherwise wouldn't have ever had the chance to. I truly feel like I'm a part of the club, and I guess I am, but with what I know we have planned, I'm beyond excited to stick around. Our spring season is done, but I can't wait to watch this club grow going forward. So thank you, FM, for having viewable UPSL clubs and allowing me to go on this journey with this club.

I don't know if this is common knowledge already, but if you bid 10 million for a player, and the other team counters it with 20 million upfront and no bonuses, their minimum asking price for the player is always 15 million. Not about, not around that ballpark, usually, it's exactly 15 million. This has some implications:

If you enquire about a player, you are essentially bidding their value. So take the average of the player's value and their counter-offer.
If you bid for a young player with a value of 2 million, and the other club gives you a fuck off-price like 100 million, they are actually asking for 51 million, provided that you bid close to his value.
The various bonuses are valued differently. The per match fee has one of the lower coefficients for what it weighs compared to the upfront fee. So don't take the average of the Potential Cost of the counteroffer, use a figure between the upfront fee they ask for and the potential cost.

Again, maybe this is common knowledge, but if a few people learn from this then that's enough.
