But it's still difficult for me to win big games, especially away from home. I have two primary tactics, which are as follows: ​ Gegenpress Mentality: Positive In possession: Shorter passing Fairly narrow Focus play down left Overlap left Extremely high tempo Time waste sometimes Work ball into box Play for setpieces Be more expressive In transition: Counterpress Counter Distribute to centrebacks and fullbacks Out of possession: Higher line of engagement Higher defensive line Tighter marking Extremely high pressing intensity Prevent short GK distribution Stay on feet Narrow width ​ Fluid Counterattack Mentality: Cautious In possession: Focus play through the middle Narrow Standard passing Slightly lower tempo Frequent time wasting Run at defense Be more disciplined In transition: Regroup Counter Distribute quickly Distribute to playmaker Out of possession: Lower line of engagement Lower defensive line Stay on feet Narrow Standard pressing intensity My go-to team is usually this: 4-2-3-1 Lloris (SK Support) Aarons (WB Automatic) De Ligt (BPD Defend) Skriniar(BPD Defend) Reguilon (FB Attack) Hojbjerg/Goretzka (BBM Support) Ndombele/Szoboszlai (DLP Support) Sancho (Winger Attack) Lo Celso (AP Attack) Son/Fati (IW Attack) Kane (DLF Support) Same roles for both tactics. submitted by /u/ZaDoruphin [link] [comments]
