    In this save, it is currently June 30th, 2521. The countries loaded are the Brazilian, 1st Division, English Premier Division, Ligue 1,Bundesliga,Serie A, and La Liga, all on Playable/View Only below. The original database was about 33K players if I remember correctly.

    I created it just to have some fun, and because I have a spare laptop not doing much of anything, so I figured why not? I started it the first day of the beta, then my laptop died, so I ran it on my PC when I was sleeping and not using it, then bought another laptop, and it got to year 500 this morning.

    The big reason I loaded up more than one country is I wanted to see if FM would have some variety in the leagues that weren't loaded, to often I've seen similar saves where a person loads just England, and 500 years later PSG has a 498 year long 1st Place finish streak going in Ligue 1, or something similar. I think this time around, adding the additional countries was a good thing, because I don't think you'd see these results otherwise:

    I'm going to try and go 1000 years with this one, as long as the game can run it, I'll keep vacationing. At some point I'd like to try and add even more countries, the new laptop might be able to handle say, ten or twelve. If I add the US maybe one day they'll win a World Cup....

    A non-European journeyman story (#01)

    After 9 seasons spent with FC Andorra in a save I started during the beta, I felt I needed a change, something new. Last time I did a journeyman save was in FM 16, so I decided why not to try it again and to add something new I loaded 25 countries across Africa, Asia and Oceania. I started unemployed with no reputation and no badges for a proper experience. I have no specific goal, although it would be nice to complete the Hexagon challenge, I just want to have fun with this save.

    First job offer (March 2021)

    After few weeks I landed a job at Iraqi 1st division team Al-Hedood, which was at the time in a relegation zone, 4 points away from safety with 6 games to go. I had 10 days before the first game to introduce myself to the team and to find out what kind of players I'll be working with.

    Iraqi first division is rated 17th among the Asian leagues, between the 2nd tier of Saudi Arabia and the 1st tier in Tajikistan, so as you can imagine, the quality isn't huge. But that also meant, that there are not that big of a qualitative difference between the teams, especially in the mid-table.

    That was the case, we managed to win 4, draw 1 and lose 1 game to finish 16th out of 20 and managed to stay in the first division. We even beat eventual champions of Al-Shorta, which gave us hope for the next season.

    2021/22 Season

    After the season we had another tough task in front of us. Most of our main squad had expiring contracts at the end of the season. I managed to extend contracts of our best 3-4 players, but I wasn't THAT worried about the rest of the team, as it gave me room to bring new players without having to worry about our current players.

    What I hadn't realized at the time, was that after few years I also decided to start the game with hidden attributes and with 2 employed scouts we had to rely heavily on trials to find out which players are actually worth it. In total we signed 12 new players before the season in which we were predicted to finish 11th.

    We started the season well, won our first two games 7-0 and 3-0, but both were against the newly promoted teams. In the fifth game we conceded our first goal and our first defeat in style, when we lost 2-6 at home, not even against a title contender. But then again we went on an unbeaten run in the league for two and a half months and after half of the season, we were in a fight for Asian Champions League spots (ACL - first 2 go to group stage, 3rd and 4th go to qualifying round), maybe even for the title. Unfortunately in the Iraqi FA cup we didn't go far and we lost our second game to another team in the first division.

    During the second half we were bit more inconsistent, which put us realistically out of the title fight, but with 5 games to go, we jumped Al-Shorta for the 2nd place on goal difference, which would put us straight to the group stage of ACL. Unfortunately, we lost our form in the final few games, drew 4 and lost 1, which cost us 2nd place. Luckily it was enough to stay in the 3rd place, so we qualified for the playoff in ACL next year.

    Our biggest strength was our offense, which was the best in the league with 97 goals scored in 38 games. Almost third was scored by Shibab Razzak Farhan, who finished 2nd in the league goalscorer table. Just so you can see what kind of quality we are dealing with in Iraq, I'm adding screenshots of our other key players as well - Nathaniel - CM, Koffi - LW, Kadhem - AMC and Khudhair - CD.

    After the season I was thinking about leaving for a better league either in Asia or Africa, but all my applications for open jobs were rejected, so I decided to extend my contract in Al-Hedood for the next year, hopefully increasing my reputation in ACL and landing job in one of the top 10 Asian/African leagues next year.

    If there will be interest I can continue and update you on my journey, maybe with more screenshots as well, since I haven't been storing any until the end of this season 21/22. Also hopefully there are not that many grammatical errors, which would make this unreadable, as English isn't my main language.
