8 years ago today I sent this email to Norwich FC. They hired Chris Hughton instead, and got relegated. Should've given me my chance.

    Pro tip for starting unemployed

    Posted: 06 Jun 2020 04:43 PM PDT

On my latest unemployed save I was able to get the Ireland u21 job, the time before that I was hired for the Argentina Olympic squad. May take some waiting but often you can get a decent international youth job even with zero badges.

This last time with Ireland we won the Euro U21. I resigned the next day and was hired a week later by Feyenoord. It's a great way to kickstart your save.

    Getting into football manager.

    Posted: 06 Jun 2020 03:28 PM PDT

Hi, I've played career manager in fifa all my life and I tried to get into FM a while back. But I was overwhelmed by the interface and the complexity of the game. Do you guys have any useful links that will help me get into the game.

Any any tips for playing the game for the first time.

    FM 19 btw.

I don't know how it happened, but it did.

Who needs Mbappé, Dybala and Mané, when you already have Messi, Suarez and Griezmann? Barcelona does. Apparently.

    The Prodigal Son Returns

    The Prodigal Son Returns

Fadó, fadó, a young player came through my U.C.D. youth academy with unbelievable potential. A left winger sharing my surname lit up the pitch in south Dublin for a number of seasons, with top clubs badgering me all the while for his signature. With just one and a half seasons left on his contract and his refusal to sign a new one, I finally relented and allowed him to move to Arsenal, for £14m with a 50% sell-on clause. Under the wing of manager Dani Ceballos, he developed into a world-class player.

Fast forward eight years: Stephen Kinsella is unhappy and is placed on the transfer list by request. Despite having ability far beyond the level of lowly U.C.D., I'm one of his favoured personnel and he's up for a return home. One problem - the interest of Radamel Falcao's Manchester United. Thankfully, we win out, and the prodigal son returns home for a second stint, in his prime at the age of 27. I can't wait to see him light up Belfield Bowl again and despite costing £67m he still feels like a steal. I got £26.5m back and a big name like his in the league of Ireland has me on the edge of my seat for this weekend's football manager stint.

Sorry for the essay - I'm just mildly emotional.

In my save, 2034 World Cup was won by Colombia, whose coach is Radamel Falcao. Love to see an ex-player managing his own national team to glory!
