    FM20 is my first FM and I've been playing for a couple of months now. Just wanted to write and say how much I'm enjoying my almost-journeyman save (I think I started with National C qualififcation?) where I'm in charge of Oeste in Brazil. We've finally broken into the top flight league and we're smashing it right now after a shaky first few games.

    I think what's so great about South America is that there's so much youth talent for reasonable prices here, and there's opportunities for players of all abilities - it feels much less min/max than in the continental football saves I've done.

    I also like the football. I've played a counter attacking tiki taka approach - slow/shot passing, heavy pressing, counter attack - and it's been great to be for defensive and possession orientated, even though it's still a press.

    The other thing I like about the competitions here are that there's a lot of games and the time table is so different from continental football. As as result you really do need to have a deep squad and keep rotating people, as well as just having backups for when your key players get pulled away for international duty (the pain of having Argentinean players!) and, most importantly, the leagues always seem like a close thing. Often there's 5-6 clubs right up for the title - while there are giants it doesn't feel quite so dominated by them.

    Because of the transfer difficulties in convincing big names to come over here (and play for my relatively unknown team) my focus has been on more local talent. Which is great because there's so many players to find out about. Players like Neto, Renyer and Arezo are so awesome, and I just signed Macias from Mexico this year and he's been a revelation.

    Anyway, I'm sure all you old hands know all about this already but just wanted to suggest to any other newer players to give Brazil a go if you're looking for something a little more exciting and free flowing.

    I've just released my Captain, he was never interested in signing a new contract. So I planned on life with out him and got a younger better player to replace him.

    The fans & board loved him and I've got an F for me allowing him to leave.

    This is horseshit, I should be able to address this low mark. IRL, there would be talk saying that the player wasn't interested in a new deal and the player would get some heat and not all on the manager.

    Is it perfect? No. But what in life is? There seems to be so many posts about claiming it's horrendous, that just refuse to inwardly look at any possibility they could be at fault for the problems they have.

    There's enough negativity in the world so let's appreciate the game we all sink thousands of hours into

    I have a glitch,all clubs that have sacked their manager,have just stayed with their interim and haven’t hired anyone for the past 2 seasons, and whenever i apply for a job,i don’t get offered an interview but they don’t reject me,even for small clubs i tested and i have 5 star rep
