    I started posting some images from my Condeixa save in Instagram some days ago. I pinged Condeixa's IG account on a few of the posts, as I thought it'd be fun to get a comment out of them. Well... it seems they actually turned into one of my many three or four followers. :p

    So, I'm currently playing a Barnechea career in Football Manager 2019. Barnechea is a small 2nd tier team in Chile of which I'm one of their few, few fans in real life.

    During my first season (2018) I had this right back, Byron Nieto. Barely 19 years old at the start of the save, and also a player which I really like in real life, so I made him my starter Right Wing Back in my 4-4-2 diamond that hugely relies on those Wing Backs for width. He had an absolute blast of a first half of the season and Universidad de Chile, one of the country's biggest teams, came knocking with a huge amount of money. Since Barnechea is pretty much a crash strapped team, I accepted.

    Move forward to 2023. Barnechea are in for their fourth consecutive season in the top flight after achieving promotion in 2019 and their first-ever Copa Sudamericana participation. In the mid-season break, I decide it's time to buy a new Right Back and looking through my scout's suggestions, I'm impressed to see Byron Nieto among them. Currently ostracized in O'Higgins, a top-half of the table team, he hasn't played a single minute this season, so I am able to get him for a really low price.

    AND HE FUCKIN' CRUSHES IT.

    He starts all 15 matches of the latter half of the season in which he manages 2 goals, 7 assists and an amazing 7,80 average rating. Barnechea rises from 13th to 8th to secure a Copa Sudamericana spot for the second year in a row. The end-of-season awards come AND BYRON NIETO GETS PLAYER OF THE YEAR AWARD IN JUST HALF A SEASON. THE PRODIGAL SON IS BACK.

    THE BOY IS BACK.
