How to develop top players and still contend for titles? Posted: 19 Oct 2019 05:20 PM PDT I'm about 5 years into my everton save (I've played fm sparsely in the past but this is the first one I've properly played for multiple seasons). It's been successful, I've made top 4 every season except the first and I won the CL (with a bit of luck) last season My problem is I can't win the title. Liverpool are insanely good and get 95 points every year, so I play my best players a lot in the league to keep up, and still can't. Mainly bc I don't have a huge transfer budget yet, I can't buy any truly world class players. I have a class team and depth but no one you'd call like top 10 itw. I have some high potential youngsters, but like I said I can't play them that much in the league cause I'll fall further behind LFC.
