What was the probability of both my goalkeepers getting injured the same day with 1 minute difference right before Chapions League semi-final? I don't have a GK in U23 and my U18 GK is injured too.

    Gegenpress Sugestions

    Posted: 13 May 2019 08:15 PM PDT

So i play a standard 4-2-3-1 Gegenpress, however my players get way too many yellow cards most games. Just arrived to Aston Villa in a journeyman from indonesia, and got them promoted first season (2nd place), so my players are not the best. How could i make them get less yellow cards ?

Pretty new to the game but having loads of fun, 200 hours on FM19 and going for more, any recommendations appreciated !

This hurts that little bit more as a Liverpool fan :( Only 1 loss all season too...

    How ruthless are you?

    Posted: 13 May 2019 06:14 PM PDT

First things first, thanks a ton in general for everyone who posts here. This was my first, major dive into FM and it's been so much fun. In Year 10, I just won my first Premier League title, beating Chelsea in stoppage time on the final weekend of the season to complete my comeback from six points down with just six matches remaining. And I still have a Champions League final to play, so the season could get exponentially better. Easily one of my most satisfying achievements in gaming, and I couldn't have done it without all the tips and ideas I've read here. So, thanks again.

Which brings me to my question...

Given how good my team is, there are only so many players out there that are affordable -- 10 years in, top players are starting to surpass $300 and even $400 million in value -- while also providing substantial improvement over what I already have. Nine of my starters are under 25, and the other two have yet to crack 30. So even if I stand pat, I should be in good shape for quite a while, especially given that I've built up enough quality depth that I can run out my entire second string and still beat even good teams handily, especially in cup competitions.

My biggest dilemma is that the one guy who looks like he should be my top offseason target also plays the same position as my favorite player, a Brazilian winger I bought for $1 million and have developed into one of the PL's most productive players. He's not world class, but he has accounted for 30, 22 and 28 goals over the past three seasons, and has been here long enough that he qualifies as homegrown across the board. My previous biggest win was a Europa League final in which he scored twice and assisted on my only other goal. So, obviously, there's a lot of sentimental value there.

Up until now, I've had zero qualms in upgrading at every opportunity, including selling off a five-year starter in midfield that I picked up for free off Real Madrid's B team and ended up kicking all kinds of ass for me so I could get younger and better. But even though I know what I should do, this is the first time I just don't want to. I was really looking forward to keeping this guy through retirement and seeing what kind of stats/awards/honors he could rack up.

So how do you guys handle these situations?

So my FM Liverpool just did a IRL Liverpool. And I'm third with 96 points!... Happy for my friend that took top because of Liverpool's slip in the last game day. Exciting season, best game ever!
