    4-4-2 Success ? Let's talk about it

    Posted: 27 Mar 2019 01:18 PM PDT

    Hello guys!

The "old school" formation 4-4-2 always appeared interesting to me, because it seems at the same time unbreakable but weak. And I guess my point of view relate on my ability to make the 4-4-2 works in FM : 0 success.

Not teaching you anything, it is nowadays still used, Atlético Madrid - Burnley or France in 2018 during the World Cup.

This is a tactic that I like, because it represents something that I miss sometimes "teamwork" over "individualities".

When I play football or watch football, I prefer to see/have 11 good players on the same level, than 10 average and 1 super star that you rely on. This is why I would love to get a working 4-4-2 in FM too!

Is there any of view, who finds success with 442 and is willing to share to everyone -if i'm not alone- wondering how to make it work in-game?

If it's a Simeone inspired, it's even better!

Sign em for free -> Make use of their best years -> Sell them for shitton of money to some midtable side when they are at their early 30s.

    Yeah fair point Scott

I've never played in a lower league than league two, but damn this is fun. Every game is so random yet so tactical. Mistakes happen a lot for both sides in each game and it just makes for such beautiful shithousery.

Inside forwards or wingers and why?

    Posted: 27 Mar 2019 05:30 PM PDT

Been playing a save for like 8 seasons now and i've noticed i get like 600shots but only 3 on target. Seen my inside forwards cut in and shoot from 30yards even though ive got them on shoot less and work ball into box. could switching to wingers improve anything?

    Fm at work?

    Posted: 27 Mar 2019 03:20 AM PDT

The addictive and emotional attachment to my save has gotten so much that i'm now playing it at work. Anyone else do this?

I work in IT and have an office to myself at one of our site offices looking after the regional area, reporting to a manager sitting in the other side of the country in HQ office. So i pretty much am left to manage myself, it's gotten to the point where i take full advantage of this situation and have FM on my Surface Pro next to my work laptop.
