Didn't want to play at home anyway

Quick question. Can anyone tell me why this player is rated so low in value? He’s only rated 1/2 a star out of 5 too. I looked at his stats and they seem to be much better than his value?

I just have to tell somebody about my worst FM-day yet :(

    Posted: 26 Mar 2019 02:31 AM PDT

It's the year 2021. At around Christmas, I get appointed as the new Portsmouth coach (previously at my local club Austria Wien and then at Tottenham, but I never felt comfortable at Tottenham so I wanted to coach another club). Portsmouth was playing in the Championship but was doing horribly. When I took over, they were in 23rd, many points behind the saving 21st place. In the winter transfer period, many buy-out clauses were being activated which led to even more problems. When even our main goalkeeper left, things got really bad; there was not enough money left to buy a new one, so I had to put our 2.5 stars U23 goalkeeper in goal.

The season was rather difficult but on the last day, there was the chance to stay in the league by winning our last game against Birmingham (10th). However, it was also up to Stoke (21st) and Middlesbrough (8th). Stoke was not allowed to win; as long as Portsmouth gets more points than Stoke, everything would be fine.

It all started rather luckily. Middlesborough scored 2 goals in the first 10 minutes, and we were doing rather well against Birmingham, too. In the 2nd half, however, things got bad quickly. Stoke managed to score 2 goals in 20 minutes, but this didn't really change anything, as we had to win anyway.

    3 minutes of added time.

Finally, in minute 90+3, my striker scored the winning goal from a quick counter-attack. Never have I ever been more believed in a game in FM, it was such a great feeling, as I've already given up when I saw that there were only 3 minutes added. The game finished, I thought we had been able to secure our place in the Championship. Little did I know that f*cking Stoke also scored a late 90+3 minutes winner that wasn't shown as a toast message during the game because the game, at this moment, was showing the replay of my goal.

I'm devasted. As of now, I still have my job; unfortunately, many of my key players have already declared that they want to leave the club asap. I hope they won't...
