Please use this thread as a place to ask questions that are specific to your save, such as:

    • "Why is my tactic not working?"

    • "What role should I play this player in?"

    • "I have £xxm to spend, who should I buy?"

If you are asking for tactical help/advice, please post an image of your formation and what insutructions/roles you have set.

As a rule of thumb, if you ask a question, answer a question. This is what keeps this thread alive and useful.

Network Games - Why are they not more popular? (Or are they?)

    Posted: 22 Feb 2019 03:37 PM PST

Sort of part curiousity, part "maybe I'm missing something" here.

I feel like network games aren't really very popular on Football Manager, but I'm not sure why. Gaming has become this big online, multiplayer experience in recent years, and I just assumed - coming back to FM after years - that it'd be a thing now.

I sort of imagined there'd be big, long-running network games that are hosted reliably on a schedule, like maybe even ones that are every night, and that a lot of people would make them there main way to play the game. However, instead, it seems it's just the odd small one that fizzles out.

I know there's the issue of time and compatibility with that, but other online games have that issue, and they seem to get around it fine. There's hardcore players that play every day, I'm surprised more don't want to share the experience.

Of course, I may be wrong, and there may be big ones around (and do tell me if there are). But, assuming they're not, why do you think they're not popular still, and what do you think SI would need to do and change in future to actually make network games a really big thing?

Have you ever had leadership courses work out?

    Posted: 22 Feb 2019 01:28 PM PST

I've tried sending several players on leadership courses - players who seemed like they'd benefit from it. Usually at least 13 leadership already, been at the club a while, potential future captain, etc.

But every time, they've come back afterward reporting that they "gained little from the course."

What kinds of players/situations lead to a leadership course being successful? Should younger or older players be sent on them? High or low leadership attributes?

    Register player for league?

    Posted: 22 Feb 2019 06:26 PM PST

So I'm in Ligue 1 and I moved a reserve player into my senior team but I can't play them because he isn't registered for the league. Does anyone know how to register them mid-season if it's possible?

Anyone list players up for transfer and literally no one wants them on transfer but every club in the world want them on loan
