    My wife's performance review of me...

    C- To summarise, I feel like you spend too much time playing and you were clearly the wrong person to marry!

    NOTABLE HIGHLIGHTS

    Delighted that you spend less time at the pub.

    Very pleased that you shout at the screen much less playing FM than you do playing Fifa.

    Very pleased that you haven't noticed how much money I've been spending recently.

    NOTABLE CRITICISM

    Disappointed that the playoff final was more important to you than visiting your mother in law in hospital.

    Disappointed that you forgot to put the recycling out AGAIN!

    Disappointed that you keep playing Kaylen Hinds even though he's stopped scoring...I may hate the amount of time you play, but seriously 8 matches without a goal?! Even I know that form deserves at least a strict telling off.

    Tongue in cheek BTW, my wife is a legend, but just for fun, tell me your stories about anyone calling into question your commitment to FM.

    I'm telling you because no-one I know irl cares. I bought Nicolas Pepe to Crystal Palace from Arsenal for 11m with 5m up front and in his first start he scored 5 and assisted 2 in a 7-0 win then scored the opener in my first ever (on this save) CL group game, a 2-1 win over Sevilla.

    My defender, Moss, was marking a player called Clark and inspired me to turn the create a team made up of players who share their names with F1 drivers. New York Red Bulls seemed like the most appropriate team.

    does anybody else use the in game editor or save scumming as a FM wishlist?

    I literally use it to get rid of the things which are broken in game. Examples include....

    • saving before any team meeting - think the meetings are so poor and the responses are rarely justified....what's that? We finished second last year and have massively improved out squad but you still think a top half finish is unattainable?

    •in fact I save before almost any player interaction - I appreciate it's just a game but I find the responses so limited and often they are so unrealistic in their response.

    • new signing demanding you improve the area they are signed to improve- I just sign a suitable loan player then terminate after the window closes. I'm more than willing to be corrected but I can't think of a single real world example where this has happened.

    • adjusting budgets - for some reason if you adjust your budget you then can't change it again the same or next day. I use the editor for this, but don't just give myself silly wage budgets, just within the region of what the slider would have done.

    • leadership course - I've never had a player's leadership stat increase as a result of this course. If I send a suitable player away for one for 3 months and he comes back without any improvement...as is always the case....I improve the leadership stat by one.

    That's all I can think of now. Before anybody jumps to conclusions I don't use savescumming to cheat on games and I don't use the editor to get loads of cash of being players to my team etc. But the things I've listed above enhance my enjoyment of the game and imo counter the highly unrealistic elements of the game.

    I know he's no S. American wonderkid, but this guy has been with me since NLN and we're now dominating L2 undefeated so far together. 100 goals in 142 games. I love this man and just wanted to share it because my wife is sick of hearing it.

    Just a heads up, obviously this time of year up to the lead up to the new game there will be loads of discount codes flying about especially those with affiliate links. If your fav creator has one and you want to support them by purchasing through that then fair enough then that's perfect

    However for those who aren't necessarily that bothered and want the best deal then the best one I've seen is shopto it's around £25 for the game don't think you'll find a better price to pre order if I am honest
