    What Will FM21 Be Like??? A Thread from 2011.

    So i found some threads asking what features people through FM21 would have and what the game would be like 10 years in the future, so i thought it would be fun to list the features they thought would be in the game and compare it to the reality :

    1. Larger scale formation trends led by the AI

    not really, certain styles will always be the best no matter how far into the future you play.

    2. Build and Design stadium in 3D / Sunday league style pitches

    Neither really included, there is lower standard grounds but no muddy fields with fans standing
    around the edge. Sounds awesome i'd love this

    3. First Person Manager View of matches using (including VR)

    Not a camera angle we can currently have due to the quality of the match engine.

    4. Realistic Fan sounds rather than generic cheering and ball kicking

    Not a feature yet, still using the generic sound for fans when going forward and kicking the ball.
    Another feature that would make a massive difference to the game.

    5. More Press conference options and gestures

    Wow a very correct guess!!! New options have been added for this version of the game
    and with more responses to interact with the press during conferences.

    6. Interaction with players on their performance

    Another feature we have!! Talking to players using gestures about performance, conduct, training etc.

    7. Managers to be rendered on the touchline

    We got this a few years ahead of schedule! the manager visible on the touchline.

    8. Dynamic league reputation and changes in clubs without player interaction

    Another that we have! Leagues becoming better over time and changing rather than staying stagnant for the entirety of the save

    9. Team Meals, Parties & Training Camps

    We dont have morale boosting via meals/parties. But warm weather training camps were added allowing players to get fit abroad and have pre-season tours

    10. I will just leave this Thread Post here......

    I know what FM22 will be like;

    The 3D engine will look like something from 2007 as opposed to 2002.

    The AI will be unable to build squads properly.

    Regens from Brazil will have no technical ability across the board. Meanwhile, English regens will put Messi to shame.

    Morale will be calculated via the use of a random number generator.

    You will be unable to sign any player for less than 10x their value.

    Arsene Wenger will continue to spend £40 million of 31 year old players.

    442 Will be the least successful formation, instead the most successful will be a variant on the 1-3-1-4-1 assymetrical formation.

    11. More backroom staff, Nutritionists, Massages, Kit Men

    We do quite regularly get more staff but not the ones listed, i guess this one counts.

    12. More in-depth Tactics Screen

    This one we also got! More instructions and player instructions to allow you customize fairly well.

    So overall not many of the expected features people suggested 10 years ago ever made it into the game, i think a lot of these are actually fairly interesting but im not holding my breath for most of them in the next 10 years.

    I think a 3D match engine graphics overall, potentially to a new engine is for sure the way to go.

    I just won the premier league with Melgar in my first season in charge.

    I'm now destroying the league in my second season and doing well in the South American champion's league, destroying Boca 3-0.

    Instead of praising me for displacing Cristal and taking the Peruvian first division crown, she asked:

    "Who are they?"
