Petition to make the #20, the official number of every star player of this subreddit in honour of Zealand's last video

    Posted: 26 Jun 2021 05:21 PM PDT

If you haven't watched the video, just go watch it, I could easily boil it down to a few sentences, but it would be disrespectful, so do yourself a favour and go watch it.

His last video is an honest ode to what we stand and represent as a community, because sometimes the game isn't just a game and how we stand and react as a community is what will be remembered.

That kid may have tragically lost his life, but we have a chance for him to be forevered remembered by this awesome community.

Edit: as suggested, here's the link to the video

    Well guys, I did it!

18th season, finally I won the Champions League with my local team!

In the second image there is a photo I took at the town's field. Fun fact: the town of Venaus (Italy) has about 900 inhabitants, and it has about 200 seats right now. I guess that the 27k seat stadium will stay a bit empty...

    Well, that escalated quickly

The stadium I visited last year

A follow up to my previous post where I hate Bournemouth.

    Posted: 26 Jun 2021 04:59 PM PDT

If you want to understand the context of my post see my previous post on my profile about why I absolutely hate Bournemouth.

After losing in a gutting playoff final game to Bournemouth as Derby County in my second season, after the first season where we lost to the same team in the semi finals, we went again in season 3 and this time managed to win the league with 101 points. Mostly thanks to free transfer striker Nabil Touaizi getting 32 goals across 46 games!

Now season 4 and in the premier league, Derby start out well and win our first 3 games. All games were against teams that would expect to be bottom mind. Things were going well.

Then we play Bournemouth, who had managed to survive the season after winning the playoff final.

It gave me great pleasure to win 2-0 this time around in a dominant performance against a team that were languishing near the bottom of the table. I only wish we stuck another 20 past them to add insult to injury.

Bournemouth's struggles continue in to the middle of the season while Derby are very up and down but are consolidating in mid table. There is no real danger of looking like getting sucked into a relegation battle.

    Then I get the email.

    A job interview.

    From Bournemouth.

Who are 8 points from safety only halfway through the season.

It was an absolutely poetic moment for me I have to say, it was the first job interview I had been offered from another club while I have been working at Derby.

I cannot begin to say just how much I wanted to join and completely gutter the club, but I thought better of myself in my job to get Derby back to the top of the premier league. It gives me so much satisfaction knowing that the tables have turned and Derby are on the up while Bournemouth look like they are staring down the barrel, it looks like those two years of playoff hurt are finally coming round to pay their dividends for Derby County.
