It's competition time - get your creative juices flowing, we're looking for some graphics for the subreddit!

As mods, we're a little tired of having to scour the internet every year to try and find a new banner and logo that fits the subreddit, and we usually end up just slapping any old thing that we find. We have wanted our own custom graphics for a while now, but we're not very good when it comes to graphics design. As there are almost 200,000 of us now, I figured that there are probably a few people here that are fairly handy with graphics design.

    Here is what we need:

    • A banner for the top of the subreddit. This should be 4000x192px, as well as maximum file size of 5mb. As most people won't have 4k monitors, the bulk of the design should be within 1920x192px, and additional details outside of that for those that do have 4k monitors. The design should be roughly in line with graphics designs that the current FM uses, so purples/yellows/whatever else you think might look good. The font should also be the same, or as close as possible to it. Also please note, we may need a banner with seperate dimensions for mobile devices because reddit can't design anything consistently. If you win we will let you know what the dimensions need to be as I still need to do some testing to see what dimensions work best.

    • A subreddit icon. Dimensions are 256x256px with a maximum file size of 64kb. It should match the banner as far as design goes, but as they are close together they do need work well together and not clash when next to each other.

    • Optionally, you can also include upvote and downvote arrows that are a maximum of 48x48px and a maximum file size of 64kb. There should be 4 arrows - an upvote arrow that has been pressed, an upvote arrow that hasn't been pressed, and the same for the downvote arrows. We aren't 100% sure if we will use custom vote arrows though so don't feel obligated to include vote arrows, it won't go against you during decision making if you don't.

You may also include a small "created by..." in one of the corners of the banner.

As a prize for the competition, the winner will receive £20 in whatever form they choose (amazon voucher, steam voucher, paypal, etc). The winner will be decided in the new year by myself and /u/ApuFromTechSupport.

To submit your entry, post watermarked versions of the images in reply to this thread. If you're chosen as the winner we will ask you via pm for a zipped folder that contains:

    • Banner (4000x192px, 5mb) in png format.

    • Icon (256x256px, 64kb) in png format.

    • Four voting arrows (if they were submitted with your entry, 48x48px, 64kb)

    • All .PSDs or equivalent file type for the application you use.

Another reminder to make sure all submitted images to this thread are prominently watermarked so they can't be stolen. Do not upload any files but the watermarked png files.

PS: The current banner changes are just temporary as part of my tests.

PPS: If you don't wish to submit publicly for whatever reason, feel free to pm me your submission.

    FM 2022 - idea

    Posted: 11 Dec 2020 04:41 PM PST

Only started playing FM in 19 but I think it'd be fun when you create your manager if you could select what clubs they played for in their player career (if they had one) and have the press/club react around that.

It would certainly make the world feel more alive. Feels weird now that your manager starts with like 80 caps for their country and some goals but ... No club experience.

On FM21 on IOS, when someone wants to loan a player from you, does 100% of the wage in the photo mean that you pay 100% of the wage or the other team does?

What is causing my bad form?

    Posted: 11 Dec 2020 07:11 PM PST

(Fm21 Xbox) I started a new save with fc Minsk and after a Rocky first half season I picked up some great form for around 8 games with a 433 tiki taka formation. However after these games my fork has drastically decreased. Chances are barely ever made striker is unable to finish anything and defence gets lobbed constantly. I usually dominate around 55-70% of the ball each game and have a fairly high xG. Currently, it is pre season for the second season and I have just come off a 2-0 defeat using a more or less first lineup. What I'm asking is that does anything have any suggestions for the cause of this sudden and rapid decrease in form or even better; how I can go back to winning ways
