Did anyone start playing FM after FIFA and now can’t go back?

    Posted: 10 Dec 2020 12:29 PM PST

FIFA just lacks so much realism that FM has that I can't seem to enjoy career mode anymore. A lot less work out into FIFA. Let me know your thoughts!

Strangest international caps in a save?

    Posted: 10 Dec 2020 06:36 PM PST

What is your strangest incidence of a player you've seen get the call up for an international team in FM? As in, who has been called up to an international squad they are only eligible for by in-game naturalised means. For example, I never thought that I would see Chuba Akpom in Greece's 2026 world cup winning squad nor did I expect Dominic Calvert-Lewin playing for Qatar but that's what I've witnessed. Any others you've had?

I had to win or tie based on the Arsenal result to win the title and as my match blew for full time, Gabriel Martinelli scored in the 93rd minute to win the title and I wasted the best year of Timo Werner’s career...

This might be a really well-known tip, but you can use Ctrl+Z to undo changes to your squad list

    Posted: 10 Dec 2020 09:52 AM PST

At the risk of pointing out the obvious, if you are selecting players and you accidentally move players somewhere or want to just undo what you've done you can press Ctrl+Z to undo it.

How do you handle a legendary youth player?

    Posted: 10 Dec 2020 03:11 PM PST

Playing as Motherwell in my 3rd season. Got a 4* striker at 15 years old in my intake. Arsenal, Liverpool, Man City were interested before he turned 16 (only Aberdeen and Rangers interested right now).

At the start of the season he was loaned to Hibs, since I already have 3 good strikers in rotation. Scored 6 goals in 3 games and recalled him before the window closed. He has 6 in 4 for me, playing as AF or PF.

How do you guys handle this? Mandatory 100 million release clause? Cash in on the first opportunity and re-invest? Do everything to make him a 1 club man? I've played FM for 8 years and never had a youngster this good, let alone at a smaller club like Motherwell.

Ever joined a team that start the season with minus league points? Tell me your tales...

    Posted: 10 Dec 2020 02:27 PM PST

I've just started a journeyman career managing a Turkish club called sanliurfaspor who begin their season with -15 points due to 'financial mismanagement'.

They have no transfer budget, no scouting team, and are already over their wage budget.

I joined mid-season, outside of the transfer window, and looking at the league rules I see: trialists aren't allowed. Neither are loans. Or any foreigners.

I don't know why I do this to myself.

(I did the old gegenpress and somehow won my first game. Thank you Klopp.)

Champions league 3-0 down in 23 minutes against Bayern away... Then I switched my tactic to a high block gegenpress and this happened... LOL

    Posted: 10 Dec 2020 02:56 PM PST

I don't get the time to play the full game with work. However, I'm pretty dedicated when it comes to FM touch and this is the first time I've attempted to taken a club from Vanarama Regional to the Premier League. I just won my first trophy and it's the premier league!
