Halfway through the first season of basically my first ever FM save. Still don't really know what I'm doing, but I must be doing something right if I've managed to get Bournemouth to 5th place in the league with wins over Arsenal, Man City and Chelsea.

Please use this thread as a place to ask questions that are specific to your save, such as:

"Why is my tactic not working?"
"What role should I play this player in?"
"I have £xxm to spend, who should I buy?"

If you are asking for tactical help/advice, please post an image of your formation and what insutructions/roles you have set.

As a rule of thumb, if you ask a question, answer a question. This is what keeps this thread alive and useful.

Also, please remember that the team suggestion thread can be found in the sidebar, so please use that and give your suggestions to people there too!

Buying Stadium Plunged Me into Debt?

Currently around 2025 on FM20, now with West Ham. Mid-way through season finances were looking healthy and facilities were already topnotch so I decided to request for them to buy the ground. Cut to the end of the season and little did I realise it cost use £1 BILLION and plunged us into £-900,000,000 and into administration & transfer embargoed. I fixed this with the in-game editor as otherwise it would have ruined the whole save but it still annoys me as I now cannot check transfer history or records without seeing a massive 'fake' transfer. Still, I'm curious if this has happened to anyone else? (Clearly, this shouldn't happen as there is no indication given of the cost of the stadium, but safe to say I will never make a mistake like that again!)
