Posted: 28 Oct 2020 04:23 AM PDT So, I recently got a new laptop for my birthday (well I say new but it was handed down from my mom but I'm still very grateful for it) and so I instantly downloaded FM20 and since my last laptop had a performance rating of half a star, yes half a star, you can imagine my joy of now having a 5 star rating on the performance of my laptop. Anyway I've now been able to play half a season in about 3 days instead of playing a game every 2 hours and despite the fact that I went 8 games without a win it was still very enjoyable and I can't wait till the new FM comes out! I swear this game goes all out to shaft you as hard as possible. Posted: 28 Oct 2020 01:55 PM PDT I've taken my Spanish 4th tier relegation tipped team to the playoffs in their second season after finishing the first season mid table, using pretty much nothing but loan players, having a constant £-100,000 debt and using my Sunday league reputation and no coaching qualifications. Oh look, before the first playoff game, my two star strikers (one of which has 29 goals for the season) are called away on international duty. Nevermind, we work hard and win the first leg 1-0. Just before the second leg, the game decides to twist the ankle of my left back. Oh and look, my right back now has a twisted knee. Seeing as I play a formation with attacking wingbacks, this is kinda crucial. I'll just have to soldier on. Nope, wait, my third choice rightback has now bruised his ankle and is limited fitness and can't really play. Next day... Oh look, the game has decided that my backup second choice right wingback has suddenly snapped his spine and is now out of action for 4 months. In the space of a week, the game has taken 6 players off me. Second leg begins with my third choice striker launching a two footed karate kick at the opponent while attacking and gets a straight red after 6 minutes. A few minutes later, they score, puts us 1-1 on agg. We go to extra time, play well, i'm eyeing up my penalty takers.... Nahhhh FM doesn't want to give me a chance at winning does it?! 117 minutes, their 34 year old right back, who hasn't scored a single goal in THIRTY FOUR FUCKING MATCHES pops up from a cross and scores a worldie of a header from 97 yards out that screams into the top corner. This prick is 5'10 with a jumping reach of 11 and heading score of 12. HE'S ONLY SCORED THIRTY TWO FUCKING GOALS IN 376 GAMES ACROSS 16 YEARS OF FOOTBALL. Three minutes later, whistle goes, we get dumped out of the playoff 2-1. Seriously, fuck this game to the max. [link] [comments]

Tips for motivating myself to get through first pre season in a new save Posted: 28 Oct 2020 05:01 PM PDT I've always found it difficult to motivate myself through the first preseason of a new save. Once I get past that point, I always have a blast competing in the league and cup games, but I honestly haven't been able to make it that far in some recent saves. I know this is probably unusual because that's when you get to know your team and plan your starting tactics and such, but it tends to overwhelm me and I struggle with it. Any tips on how to fix this? How do YOU get through the first preseason? [link] [comments]
