    Champions League FINAL... Loris Karius is my GK.. what are the odds..???

    Posted: 12 Sep 2020 06:21 PM PDT

    Finally. It took 10 years with Athletic Bilbao, but I've finally won La Liga. Real Madrid had a 1 point lead for the last 9 games, and gave it away on the final day of the season. Real and Barca spend hundreds of millions every year on the best players, so it's been the hardest save of my life.

    I had never played with Messi. I decided to edit/transfer him to Inter to give him a try. I had not realized just how OP he was! One season, 73 goals, Scudetto, Coppa, C1.

    I've been playing FM since Championship Manager days, and for the first time ever...

    I've about to have a stadium named after me!

    Still got 2 years before it's built and I was planning to move on (suppose I can wait out 3 more seasons...), but I've never built a club this much to get this honor, also a bit mad how the capacity is planned to be 59,998, could've squeezed 2 more seats in somewhere!

    What other moments of grandeur is there within FM nowadays?

    I know about having a 'son' come through your academy, it's never happened with me but is there any other rare moments to be had?

    The best Andorran regen I've seen in 15 years of FM

    Every player has a price... This one was £110m! Bought for £1 and peaked in his first season in Serie A but then got injured in preseason. His penultimate season was awful, 1 League goal! Luckily my son is a pacy hitman and is a great replacement.

    I didn’t see Barcelona on European Champions Cup and I thought I will check it out what happened. Then I realized that Barcelona has been delegated to second division and was ranked 20 in 2022-2023 season !

    Just the usual mixed signals from the board then.

    Going into the derby we have the best and second best defensive records in the league. Madness!!

    Posted: 12 Sep 2020 07:16 PM PDT

    Fun situation: If you fine a player over a straight red card that is eventually rescinded... that player gets fined anyways (and won't complain about it).

    He can act, and apparently he can play football as well. Props to the guy.

    Best of both worlds - Football Manager with FIFA presentation - When will this be made?

    Posted: 12 Sep 2020 09:38 PM PDT

    The way I see it, it's not a question of if but when.

    Posts about this may already exist, but consider this a petition from the community. I'm sure most of you will agree what I'm about to request.

    Football is by far the most popular sport in the world, and a quality product that could stand the test of time can make the producers a lot of money. Seriously EA, instead of pumping out a new (but same) FIFA every year, if you were to make ONE truly good manager game that combines the best of both worlds, you'll see how we all go crazy over it. Then, if you wish, you can go ahead and make an updated version of THAT game every year.

    This is a concept that has been staring us right in the face for over a decade. How is this not being made yet? What's the killer factor?

    A football managing game with the following features:

    a. From the Football Manager series:

    1. The depth and scope of tactics, scouting, training, and transfer systems;
    2. The well-researched database that is accurate down to the post-retirement plans of currently active players, or how much a club owes in bank loans;
    3. In-game editor;
    4. (I'm sure there is more - please help me out, community)

    b. From the FIFA/FIFA Manager series:

    1. The interface/presentation of FIFA and FIFA Manager 14 - most importantly, being able to watch matches in the FIFA 3D engine;
    2. The management of club facilities, sponsors, stadium expansions, building youth camps abroad, and personal life management. I know a lot of people don't enjoy these features, but many do! And I know a lot of you don't think these are a manager's area of responsibilities, but that's not accurate! A lot of managers get deeply involved in club facilities' development, especially training and youth facilities! Look at what Jurgen Klopp did with Liverpool's new training grounds. For the game, all you need to add is the ability to delegate or turn off such features at player's discretion. Problem solved!
    3. (Once again, I'm sure there is more...)

    Personally, if I can manage a football team in a game, where I can watch the matches with such quality where the stadiums are true to their real-life counterparts, and the graphics are so realistic, and yet the managerial complexity is also a feasible representation of real life, I would never look back. Would this game not sell well? Of course it would! With so many football fans who love the manager experience, I think it would sell for years! Especially with the modding community who can keep updating the game for years to come. So what are you waiting for...?

    Look at developers like CD Projekt Red, creating timeless masterpieces. Speaking of such - though I wouldn't place them in the same category - I still play FIFA Manager 11, 13, 14. I also play Football Manager 20. Just combine them already, and while you're at it, use the FIFA 20 graphics for 3D matches.

    I would pay $100 for that game, no questions asked.

    Quite the fall from grace for Jose Céspedes. In 6 years he went from the Ballon D’Or winner to getting sold to Boca for just £12.25m. You’ve got to wonder what went wrong...

    With what did he get infected ffs?
