    I've been Valencia for 12 or 13 seasons. I've won the league 4 times including the last 2. My main rivals have always been Barcelona, every season it is us two fighting for the league. Throughout the 12 or 13 seasons I have never lost at home to them once, I have pretty much lost away at theirs every time though. Just played them at home, completely dominated the game had 27 shots they had 8, 5 on target, scored 4 goals. I lost 4-2 and now feel extremely deflated and am not sure I can muster the energy to carry on with the league. I have managed to not save scum all career and as deflated as I am I'm not going to start now. I'm probably being a bit dramatic, perhaps I need a snickers, but has anyone else ever had a loss and thought "f*ck this game, I'm out"?

    A tale of two AMLs...

    This is a small story of something that happened in my save and I thought I would share it here. This might be a slightly longer post but unlike other long posts, these events take place over just 6ish months of the 2025/6 season

    Close to the end of the summer transfer window, my scout Frank informs me Sancho is transfer listed for 75 mil. I sell my very average performing Marin to raise funds to buy Sancho. The deals go through and before his first game, he is injured. And then my other AML, Dragovic, is injured so I decide not to loan out my third choice 20yo wonderkid, Gilberto. He is 4* ca/pa so pretty good but nothing amazing. He actually plays really well but once both my other AML are back he hardly gets any games. To be fair to him his performances are much better than Sancho's; Sancho is playing pathetic averaging a 6.6. You can imagine my disappointment, i swapped Marin for this? Nonetheless, I insist on giving Sancho game time hoping that the bad performances are because he hasn't been able to settle in. Gilberto on the other hand keeps demanding game and isn't satisfied with just "being patient". Fast forward to December of the same season, Sancho hasn't improved and Gilberto decides to inform me that he intends to run down his contract and it is in my interest to sell him in the upcoming window. I tell him he is going to be playing with the reserves and promptly put him in the reserve squad. Luckily for me his contract has an optional extension, 18 months for reserve football should improve that attitude. Sancho's best performance comes against a tier 3 side in a cup game where he scores a hattrick. After this his form starts to pick up - still not enough for him to be picked over Dragovic. In the jan window, one of my rivals puts in a very sweet bid for Gilberto so i acquiesce.

    A fortnight later, i have the league cup semi against the same rival. Sancho starts on the bench while Gilberto is on the pitch. We start strong but are denied at every turn by their GK. Still we are in complete control and I am not worried. Min 34, my CBs,like all good CBs, decide to both mark the striker who conveniently crosses for the opposite winger to score. Now I am worried, am I going to get FMed?. Half-time, we are 0-1 down and Dragovic hasnt been great, so i sub in Sancho. Min 49, corner taken, there is some confusion in the box AND SANCHO SCORES. Still, I am not too confident, we have a pathetic record in penalties and would prefer to not go down that route. Min 60, the frustration is growing - we are being denied by the octopus in front of the goal. I am debating whether or not to switch to Very Attacking mentality - i decide to wait a little bit before going all out. Min 71, its a long goalkick, my LB heads it down for Sancho near the half line. He takes a touch a and drops this beautiful through ball for my striker who scores. And now we are 2-1 up. A goal and an assist from Sancho has almost single handedly turned the game around after half-time. The match ends 3-1 with Sancho taking the PoM and Gilberto having been subbed off for a pathetic performance.

    I felt that match and that performance, vindicated my decision to give Sancho game time over Gilberto. Have a happy no trophies season, Gilberto.

    I am currently using a 4231 formation, and I am always using a DLP. In the central attacking midfield position I always use an AM, and I have avoided using an AP as I had heard a while back that having too many playmakers can muck up your tactic and such. I just came to ask if this rumour is correct or not, because I don't have the balls to risk my team losing matches xD. Thanks, Alex.
