How do I stop my team being shite after a good 1st season

    Posted: 07 Feb 2020 05:06 PM PST

I just won PL with United first season. As more time passes, the worse my team/tactics seem to get.

How do I stop this slippery slope, it always happens for me. Great first season, and then everything goes wrong

Which of these regen strikers do you think is the best?

Which of these regen strikers do you think is the best?

So there are four regens on my save who are the four best players in the world but it's not easy to decide between the four as to which one is best. Figured I'd show you guys their attributes, career history and bio and see which one you think is the best or would rather have in your team...

    ____________________________________________________________________________________________________________

    Mamadou Yao

    Yao attributes

    Bio & Career History

The oldest of the quartet is Yao, the only one to never win the Ballon D'or but undoubtedly one of the best forwards in the world for over a decade now. One of the best signings in the history of the game when Norwich bought him in for less than £1m and tore the PL to shreds for four years. He then moved on to Lyon where he replaced the legendary forward Jerome Leroy as captain and won the league in his final season. Spent the last four and a half years playing for Inter Milan and picking up three titles for the Italian giants. Has won both the WC with France and the CL with Lyon.

    Giorgio Calabrese

    Calabrese's attributes

    Bio & Career History

Next up is Giorgio Calabrese, the Italian forward who plays for Arsenal. Having spent almost all of his career at the Emirates he has had limited success due to the presence of the dominant Doncaster Rovers team but he has led the team to League Cup, FA Cup and Europa League success as well as finally picking up his first PL title last season. Without him, Arsenal would be a much weaker team, and he even managed to win the Ballon D'or in a year where all that Arsenal won was the League Cup. Came just too late for international success as Italy have spent most of his career in decline but is 5 in 6 at the 2052 Euros got them to the final where they lost to Spain.

    Adama Mbengue

    Mbengue attributes

    Bio & Career History

Mbengue was so good as a youngster that he turned Real Betis into a massive team where he led them to Europa League glory and a Champions League SF during his time there. He was loyal to the cause as well, but with Betis failing to make the CL for a couple of seasons he made the move to Real Madrid. Not won much there yet but did get to the CL Final last year and is the talisman of the most famous team on the planet. Internationally he has picked up two Olympic golds and has also won the Euros. World Cup wise, they just lost the final in 2054 and he'd already had back to back third place finishes beforehand. It's a decent Spain team but he is easily the star of the show.

    Clarismario

    Clarismario attributes

    Bio & Career History

Last but by no means least is Clarismario, the current Doncaster number 9. He broke through at the elite level later than the other three but has since made up for lost time with CL, PL and Ballon D'or wins in the past couple of years. The 6' 8" beast of a forward has already racked up 200 goals for Doncaster in the 4 1/2 seasons he has been there and many argue he is the best player in the world. Though he started at a lower level than the others he did manage to be successful with both of his previous teams, picking up the Championship title with boyhood team West Ham and firing Brighton back into Europe. Internationally he scored the winner in the WC final last summer and, though his international goalscoring record isn't quite as impressive as the others listed, there is a lot more competition for places in the England squad than there is for France, Spain or Italy.

    ____________________________________________________________________________________________________________

So, just thought it was interesting to have four such equally matched super forwards knocking around at the same time and almost the same ages. Haing played games against all of them, Yao and Mbengue are the ones that have done me the most damage, but they played for the best teams when I came up against them since Real, Inter and Lyon are all genuinely elite teams on my save.

Who do you guys think is the best of the lot?

I think I ruined the career of a young Russian boy and I feel terrible about it.

    Posted: 07 Feb 2020 07:09 PM PST

So I'm looking to rebuild my young talent and I found a 15-year old Russian fullback with five-star potential. Even better, he was without a club. I don't know where he came from as his history lists no clubs. So I scoop him up.

I know he won't be able to get a work permit but I figure I'll just send him to my Serbian feeder club until he qualifies. But when the transfer goes through, it says he is joining me November 18, 2033 (it's currently April 2031). I guess the transfer can't go through until he is 18.

He can't play for me. He can't move to my affiliate. And since he already has a future transfer to me, he can't sign with another club. At the age of 15, he now has to take a two and a half year break from football. That can't be good for his development.

    Anthony Martial's 52 goal season. 2021/22

Honestly, I had no idea he would've been this good in the game. Played post September on the new patch and Anthony Martial just didn't stop being involved. This was the season I was expecting to slowly fading him out since Mason Greenwood is broken and will always get you guaranteed goals. Managed to win the league and beat Manchester City in the final of the Champions cup.

Last two seasons he was good, not exceptional but I am Martial FC all the way in real life so was having a hard time upgrading and still stuck with him and Mason as my two strikers for the season (had one 5 star regen on 2 star current ability so wasn't sweating too much).

Any of you have similar experiences in the game? Experiencing an insane season from a player you weren't expecting?

Feel the new patch really buffed the strikers. Since his composure is good too, he is now finishing about 50% of his one-on-ones.

Along with his stats, posting the team I managed to make with 4 transfer windows.
