Sevilla, first season, first transfer window, starting XI. I must say it, this attacking middlefield is sick, and my boy Blind is taking care or our half.

For those of you with far-future games (10+ years), who are the big teams? Who has fallen off the mark?

    Posted: 24 Jan 2020 11:19 AM PST

I'm playing the 2040-41 season as Dortmund in FM17. Domestically, Bayern has become a complete midtable non-entity. Gladbach and Schalke are my biggest rivals.

In Italy, Spezia Calcio had a run at the top of Serie A in the 30s, but they've dropped off, and Italy has settled back to a Juve/ACM/Inter/Roma catfight.

Monaco is the PSG of my save. PSG is also good, but St. Etienne is better.

Leicester has been a consistent top performer in post-Brexit England, along with the usual suspects, with West Ham and Southampton having brief periods of success, making the Champions' League.

Most interestingly, Cercle Brugge has become a one-team Belgian wrecking crew. They've made the last 8 of the CL a number of times, and the last 4 a few times, and have dragged Belgium up as high as sixth league in Europe, giving two automatic group stage places and a play-in place.

In the other direction, the USA SUCKS. Which is odd, as I have MLS as a fully-simmed, playable league. But, they are demonstrably worse than Canada, who just knocked them out of World Cup qualifying BEFORE THE HEX. USA has missed three world cups in a row as a result (2034, 38 and 42.)

Brazil is no Argentina, as they say in 2041, and only a few oldheads remember the exciting run of Tier D minnows Iceland over 20 years ago.

This guy pays the club whenever he plays/scores?

Club just got taken over and the new board instantly made two huge signings without me allowing any input

    Posted: 24 Jan 2020 07:26 AM PST

I probably had the best possible outcome for the EU situation

First year in the CL, red card in the first minute, star winger injured within 5 minutes...what a result

So I found out that Ribéry likes it better when he plays for the U18 :D
