Kept Macclesfield Town FC in the Premier League on a 300k/pw wage budget for the squad. GF didn't care, maybe you guys will!

As usual for me, no database edits, save scumming, scouting tools or downloaded tactics (except for one I tried in season 1, didn't really work so made my own). Started as league 2 relegation fodder and the way it tended to go was that in each league I'd start with a decent mid-table finish, frustratingly get into the playoffs, throw away a 3-0 aggregate lead and lose out on promotion 2 or 3 times in a row then finally get promoted automatically.

About 12 years in, I got into the championship, which has an average wage budget of around £500k/week per team and I had about £110-120k and managed to win it in my 4th season or so, really happy with that. When I got into the prem, that was only upped to £300k/week where the average budget is about £1.5-2m I think. Had a great start, 15 games in I was in around 7th place, before going into a bad losing streak which took me 1 point clear of relegation. Stayed at that point until around 5 games from the end and had a really tense few games. I used £0 relegation release clauses on all of my players to bring their wages down, so relegation would be pretty devastating haha.

Managed to win 5 in a row though and ended 14th! Now coming into my new season with a pretty solid squad and a new £550k/pw wage budget. Can actually afford a few foreign youth prospects now, work permits require that you pay them a minimum of 3k/pw and in my first season my captain was only on about 12-14 so I couldn't afford that.

Gets addictive when you've brought a team this far, just played an entire season in just over a week.

Getting fired as result of the club being sold

    Posted: 16 Oct 2019 11:46 PM PDT

Hey so I'm five years into my tenure with Cardiff and things are finally going our way (top of the table through the early going). The problem is that the owner is trying to sell the club and the prospective group of buyers are rumored to hire a new manager if the sale goes through. Is there anything I can do about this? Maybe get a better group of buyers somehow?

Winning a treble in your first season.

    Posted: 17 Oct 2019 12:26 AM PDT

I am on course to win a treble (bundesliga, dfb pokal and europa league) in my first season with Bayer Leverkusen . But how this is only my third season (i did atalanta for 2 seasons and got sacked) on fm19 and i have virtually made no signings only philip wollscheid on a free and a few wonderkids.

Created character not appearing in game

    Posted: 17 Oct 2019 02:22 AM PDT

So I've recently switched computers and had to redownload the game. Unfortunately my created player (that I created with the editor) doesn't seem to appear no matter what I do. The data base he's saved in is checked off, but he doesn't appear when I search him up. I didn't have this problem with my old pc.

Have you ever ordered a kit (jersey) of your favorite FM player(s)?

    Posted: 16 Oct 2019 09:56 PM PDT

I'm debating picking a team based on kits I like, partially so that I might do this ridiculously nerdy thing. Anyone else ever done it?

My first achievement on FM ever

    Posted: 16 Oct 2019 09:19 AM PDT

So I haven't played any FM in years, more than 10 at least. I picked up FM19 in August and went on holiday IRL. Actually got round to playing it over last few weeks and decided to take RB Leipzig. With around £36m to spend, and a predicted mid table finish, my first season was capped off to a 5-0 spanking of Bayern Munich, much to my surprise. However no silverware. Ironically knocked out a week after that 5-0 win to Bayern in the German cup. I finished 2nd by around 7 points.

Sevilla wanted me, so did another team but I stuck by my team. Upon 2nd season commencing I had £0 transfer budget. I'd bought holtby and arp from Hamburger in a cut price deal and bought Tierney (unrealistic) but a sure way to double the profit in second season. I sold Tierney for £36m to PSG as he wanted to go to a bigger club, Wener went to Bayern for £50m again for the same reasons.

I needed to find something in the middle of the park to give some creativity that was cheap and down the left and in goal. I signed Jonjo Shelvey, Cellabos on loan, Xherdan shaqiri on loan and played Bruma on the left (fantastic player btw) I also signed Jason Denayer as a back up, and finally Alban La Font in goal.

Finally with a decent team and bench, I wanted to improve on my second place finish and get through the knockout stages of the ECC. I drew Lazio, Anderlecht and Man city... Somehow I battled my way through, and drew Arsenal. I finished them off (just) and drew Barca... I got through 5-5 on away goals and pulled a Portuguese team in the final, I won 2-1.

TLDR: I won the ECC in 2nd season beating city, arsenal and Barca. I now have £92m in the bank.
