I just had one of those games I need to talk about Posted: 03 Oct 2019 09:27 AM PDT I'm starting my second full season at Antwerp (my second club in the game). After a 2nd place in the championship group (finished 5th in the regular season actually) I was qualified to the 3rd qualifying round where I met Dinamo Kyev and went through. In the playoff I got Juventus so I'm accepting my fate in Europa League. Nevertheless, in the first match we meet in Juventus Stadium, where this story happened: I started in a defensive 4-3-3 (usually a counter-attacking side, here just trying to delay the other side). They score at the 6th minute and I started dreading the result. Between some luck and a great performance by my keeper, the half-time came and the result was still the same. I was, however, getting squashed as I couldn't do anything. I gave my boys an encouraging pep-talk and hoped for something. 60 minutes in and it was more of the same, so I decided to make some changes. I took my two wingers out and made it a 4-1-3-2 (with three CMs and two strikers). The one detail I added was asking the strikers to individually mark Juventus' fullbacks, making it a 4-1-5-0 defensively, pretty much. It's important to note that Juve was playing in a 4-2-4. And it worked like wonders! I started dominating the midfield and having chances, to the point that my sub-striker assisted my sub-CM to equalize the match and leave Turin with hope! It's not that impressive, but I just love it when tactical changes have an effect and we can see our idea happening in the pitch. And now I got my hopes up and will probably be squashed at home. But damn, FM feels great to me when stuff like this happens. [link] [comments]

How important is training new traits for players? Posted: 03 Oct 2019 09:30 PM PDT I guess I'm still fairly new to this game and have not been heavily involved in training. I've just started trying to train some new traits on my players and was wondering what effect it will have? [link] [comments]
