My defender has taken a managerial role in League 1. I’m so proud

    Posted: 25 Oct 2019 11:24 AM PDT

He was a decent defender. Then I bought some wonderkids; but he was still better. The years passed and he still earned his place n the team.

I send him on Leadership and Coaching courses. After he is too old, I offer him a player-coach job.

Then a club offers him a manager job. I have the option to appeal but want him to be free.

I'm proud of you, Tommy Elphick

Help me understand this work permit rejection, please.

    Posted: 25 Oct 2019 09:15 PM PDT

I'm trying to sign Rivaldo Coetzee for 575k for Norwich from Sundowns in South Africa. He is 22 with 23 caps for South Africa and yet I can't get a work permit due to South Africa not having a 'high enough ranking' (=70th). His wages will be 11k per week. Surely that amount of caps is enough to get a work permit (even for South Africa), and if not, what ranking do they need to be? 70th isn't even that bad!

He has insane potential and getting him for under 1 million seems like a great deal, but at a fairly old age there is a chance that without game time he will regress and never reach it.

Don't You Just Hate International Breaks?

    Posted: 25 Oct 2019 08:58 PM PDT

I hate sharing my toys with other managers, they always come back broken. Where's the option to call international managers knuckle dragging mongs when they injure 4 of your players in one week, what are you guys doing, running them through live ammunition war games?

Didn’t see this one before In Game. Nice touch FM!

I think “player role suitability” is the biggest scam of the Football Manager series. I’ve always wanted to have all my players on a full green circle but I noticed that Pogba was not scoring nor creating any goals. Here’s the result of my ditching his “Advanced Playmaker” role

    "Walking Through Walls"

    Posted: 25 Oct 2019 11:04 AM PDT

Losing 1-0 at HT to a much inferior team.

Rants at my players in the dressing room to show more passion.

Assistant Manager feedback: "The players look ready to walk through walls, such is the atmosphere in the team."

    FT Result: 5-0
