So finally after playing FM since 2012, I managed to get Salford City into League 2. It took me two seasons, due to going on some really awful tactical decisions in season 1, and making do with the rubbish keepers Salford have.

I'd never managed below the championship before where I failed in the playoffs with Norwich City, so for me, this was a great achievement.

My best decisions were picking up a GK from Chesterfield for 60K who managed 22 clean sheets and managed a 7 game clean run. A winger from Sheffield Wednesday for 50k who bagged me 18 goals, two CMs from Bolton & Newport County for a total of £0 who were passing like Xavi & Iniesta, and my one gem, a released from Man United 18 year-old CB, who was elegant as he was brutally perfect.

From November to the last game of the season, it was a thrilling battle between myself and Barnet. I kept a 3 point lead over them for 2 months as they went on a great 22 match unbeaten run, luckily I managed 12 wins in a row while they drew some.

I averaged 63% possession overall for the whole season, and the top two looked like this at the end.

    1. Salford 109
    2. Barnet 106

Without a doubt that was the most enjoyable season I've ever experienced in FM, and thankfully, Barnet won the playoff final to come up with me, as our record breaking sides had something to be proud of at season end. I even managed to drag them to round 3 of the FA Cup, then losing 5-2 to Walsall of all teams.

Thanks for reading! Let me know if you wanna keep up to date with my next escapades.

Considering how much Wenger's stuck coat zipper got media attention, I'm surprised the press hasn't slaughtered my manager for his fashion choices

In my 10th season I finally managed to win it after coming up short in the semis twice before. Really satisfying to win it with a club that has these sort of restrictions, no better feeling than seeing the improvement of my players through the years. There really are no shortcuts with this kind of team.
