    A little backstory for Klaksvíkar Íttrótarfelag (KÍ): this is the second most winning club in the Faroe Islands, an archipelago with 18 islands and 51.000 inhabitants. KÍ is based in the town of Klaksvík which has a population of around 5.000 people. KÍ represent all the northern isles. It is a club that is slowly returning in strength and finished in 2nd place in 2016 and 2017 having last won the league in 1999 and had a difficult time since being relegated to 1. deild in 2009. The club plays its matches in Djúpumýri, I am unclear how many it fits since it is no all-seater obviously, but same capacity was 3.000.

    I took over January 2018. Then a semi-pro club. And I made the club professional in Sep. 2019 after a European run created a good income. In 2019 I managed to take the club to the club to the Europa League group stage and in 2022 I managed to take them to the knockout stage. In 2024 managed we managed to qualify for our first Champions League group stage. In the 2027 campaign, we qualified for the champions league group stage and finished 3rd to go the Europa league. And in 2028 I managed to take the club all the way the Europa League final and win it. After the Europa league win, I left the club to join Manchester United, my other favorite club. I left, because I had achieved more than what should be possible with the club, and I felt I had achieved everything I could with the club.

    The club had one amazing, relative, regen come through: Kári Jacobsen. was already 4,5 star at the youth intake.

    In 2027 we moved into a new 11.000 all-seater stadium. Maybe it seems overkill in a town of only 5.000 people, but on European nights we filled it.

    That is mostly it. If any of you made a save in Faroe Islands or some other small nation, I would love to hear your experience.

    Edit: Somehow the Europa league winning season didnt get posted. Fixed that. Would also like the add that it was not possible for me to make the club financially sustainable. It relied to EL/UCL qualification. And after I left the next manager failed to qualify for UCL and at the same spent stupid money on players and eventually the money ran out, and he lost the domestic 12 year or so unbeaten run.

    Newgens/youth academy

    So I'm pretty new to FM and I'm wondering about Newgens and youth intake. I know scouting teams in other leagues is pretty common to buy Newgens, but can good Newgens spawn into your own youth academy (so that they'd be hometown players like TAA for Liverpool for example).
