In order to sign Alexander Isaak I promised him that we would get a championship playoff spot in 2020/21. Instead, we got a playoff spot in 2019/20, and got promoted to the EPL. We finished 5th in the league, but now he's mad because we didn't get a championship playoff spot. I'm dumbfounded.

Tips on avoiding conceding late?

Just started a new season in the championship after getting promoted. So far, W1 D3 L2. However:

Game 1: Sheff Utd. 1-1 until the 88th, conceded 88' and 90+3' to lose 3-1

Game 2: Charlton. Leading 2-0 until 81st against 10 men. Conceded 81' and 88' to draw 2-2.

Game 3 (Carabao). 0-0 until 90th, concede 90' to lose 1-0. Against L2 Orient.

Game 7: Burton. Come back from 2-0 down to lead 3-2. Concede 90+4' to draw 3-3.

Surely I must be doing something wrong. I've tried shutting up shop (very defensive/time wasting/get stuck in etc.) and also just continuing as I am and neither seems to work.
