    I'm currently doing an Arsenal save and sometimes I think, what would Arsenal fans be thinking when I decide to sell my world class left back and replace him for a young 5*PA one.

    Sometimes I think about how online arguments about which player is better or which club/team is better, would go, or how the r/gunners subreddit would react to games and maybe get angry that I'm not playing who they think should play.

    Me also being a Fifa player, I also think about how my players would be rated and their special cards, like MOTM or TOTY cards and their stats and prices.

    Is anyone like me or am I just a bit odd?

    Buying Newgens FM19?

    The last FM I played was 17, where it was possible to pick up newgens off contract and get them for free. I understand that it's unrealistic but I can't even pay a fee for them now? How long will it take for them to be willing to discuss a contract elsewhere?

    Haven't played 19 yet but I'm sure they haven't been added yet. If you've ever managed in a small European nation and made it to the Champions League or Europa League you know what I'm talking about; your local rivals even the ones that play the qualification process never really improve compared to you.

    For instance, I had a ~30 year career in Andorra back in FM17. I eventually became a regular in continental competitions but none of my rivals, even the annoying team that gets Portuguese regents, made it through the second qualifying round of either the CL or EL. Same in 18 (here I decided to troll the the team that gets Portuguese regens and added a few teams that could do the same), I even became a regular in Europe way sooner (decided to manage one of those added teams), and even made it to the quarter finals of the EL were Arsenal barely made it through on away goals. Even after all my success, the rest of the league was still just as awful as it started.

    I'm not expecting solidarity fees to magically solve this, but it'll help teams get extra money even if they don't make it through the fist qualifying phases (this would be a nice bonus to them), or if they are just a mid table team.
