I won my first major title after starting an unemployed, no coaching badges save.

I won my first major title after starting an unemployed, no coaching badges save.

So I started the save with no coaching badges and my experience was set as Sunday League footballer. After e month or two I got my first job with a club in the Bulgarian second division.

After a good first season I tweaked my formation a bit, got some better players and got promoted to the top division. These tweaks got the most out of my then 32 year old left winger who had his best goals/assist tallies in his entire career.

This from a 32 year old winger

He wasn't supposed to be a starter but injuries were a blessing in disguise.

After one season in the top flight I applied to some clubs in bigger clubs seeing as this was supposed to be a journeyman challenge.

So this is how my career at "Neftata" went.

I didn't leave the club that gave me a chance all helpless tho. Before I left I managed to get a senior affiliate in OGC Nice.

I had the choice between 2 clubs, Pescara was in Serie B and had an amazing 17 year old playing CAM so my choice was obvious.

Marino Benedictis, that regen, and a 89k striker dragged me straight out of serie B.

Marino scored and assisted in double digits to get us a promotion spot.

Luca Magazzu had an even better season than Benedictis

In only my second season in serie A we already qualified for European competitions. During my third season in serie A the opposition found out how to break down my 4231 Gegenpress. That's why I switched to a 4312 that worked in a previous save of mine. That's when a loanee who's transfer I made permanent started banging in the goals. 20 goals and 8 assists later, we finished 3rd again.

He was really impressive that season

Coming into this season I had a new starting cb pairing: an Italian BPD and this Danish man mountain. This season he scored 10 goals and dished out 4 assists. He was a free transfer too.

18 jumping reach and 11 heading was good enough for 10 goals

By the end of december we were in 5th place. A huge turning point was the signing of Brazilian defender Junior Henrique.

He scored crucial winning goals and our defence improved dramatically with him at rightback.

AC Milan had to lose or draw for us to win the title. By the 11th minute they scored the opening goal. The chaces looked bleak. But Fiorentina came to our rescue.

    Thank god for Fiorentina

In the end, we won Serie A at the last day.

Captain Marino Benedictis (yes THAT Marino) lifted the Serie 1 after goals from Brigione (the talented BPD) and a newgen called André Silva. Junior Henrique turned in a vintage defensive masterclass while being creative on the wing.

    We finally won Serie A

I haven't mentioned anything about my results in European competitions because it's been brutal. I hope to build from this success.

Finally won the UCL in my homegrown challenge 10 years into the save. Every player in this team came from our academy. £0 spent on transfers. This one felt so good.

How well do you think you could do with Fulham on fm22?

    Posted: 02 Sep 2021 09:38 PM PDT

Surely this will be the most OP team ever on fm in the championship. Winning every match in a 42 game season is very difficult, but on fm its far from impossible. I think it will be a great challenge to see who can get the best record with Fulham in the championship on fm22. Goals scored, points won, assists from one player, goals from a midfielder, etc.

sub question: do you think they will have a better chance than previous teams of doing well the immediate season after promtion or there is still much work to do? Obviously I concede we don't know the attributes of all the players on fm22 but we can roughly estimate from 20 and 21.

So, just HOW well do you think you could do as fulham boss on fm22?

What are your “golden rules” for your new saves?

    Posted: 02 Sep 2021 07:37 AM PDT

Outside of things like avoiding save-scumming, what are some golden rules you play the game by to ensure the save feels authentic? Looking to start a new save today with the Sept 1 transfer updates and I'd love some fresh ideas to make this one more interesting and meaningful!
