Something I think FM could take from CK3 for 22

    Posted: 20 Aug 2021 06:13 AM PDT

So I would abolsutely love it if for FM22, SI took inspiration from CK3. I know this sounds strange cause one's is a medieval grand strategy game, and the other is about harvesting football talent from South America.

But, I'd also love there to be 'decisions' or in-game 'achievements' that were unique and only unlocked as options at specific clubs, once a set of conditions have been met. Like how 'decisions' function in CK3. like for eample,

    • If you won the league with Barcelona, with a team of mostly La Masia graduates, then you'd unlock 'Built a golden age of La Masia.' and then, as your career progressed, that 'achievement' would be what you were always most remembered for within the world of the game.
    • Or another example would be, if you won the Premier League with a Welsh club, having the ability to petition the FA to change the name to the English & Welsh Premier league.
    • Or, if you won the Champions League with a full Celtic team from in and around Glasgow, Then you could get 'Recreated the Lisbon Lions'

Managing to achieve one of these 'decisions', or 'achievements' would automatically qualify you as Club Legend, so they would act as a guide, and an incentive to keep you at a club for a while in the 'late game.'

I just think they would give you a chance to shape the footballing world more broadly in your own. I mean 'Most famous for his golden age of La Masia' being plastered in front of every email, just writes itself, and it'd feel as though your specific achievements & legacy were being recognized more broadly in footballing history.

After staying at the club for 93 years, Chelsea manager is calling it a day to spend more time with his grand-grand-kids. In another news, FM20 is no longer showing age and days correctly after 2100. I wonder if I can get a refund?

What is your most unpopular opinion in FM?

    Posted: 20 Aug 2021 07:21 AM PDT

Mine unpopular opinion is that scumming is not bad, sometimes i need it, if i want to have fun in the game Example: my striker gets injured 6 months, i will scum without doubt

Why my manager is being unambitious ? Any way i can improve it ? I didn't know why this happened tho .

    i- it's possible?

    An Argentinaian Scotsman

    Posted: 20 Aug 2021 04:26 AM PDT

I've been playing as Rangers recently and I've just had an Argentinian come through my youth system which is so weird to me. I've had nothing but good Scottish lads before this and I don't really understand what's happened here. Is it because I have 5/11 of my first teamers as Argentinians? I'm going to do everything in my power to have him play for Scotland.

What do use your reserve team for?

    Posted: 20 Aug 2021 01:06 AM PDT

Currently my reserve team just contains crappy youth players and senior players that are about to be transferred. My reserves lose every single game and the man of match is always some opposition player that is too good to sit in the reserves. Am I missing something here, should I be utilising my B team differently?

In my save Arteta has been manager of Arsenal for almost 7 years. Best achievements are 2 europa leagues and a 3rd place finish.TRUST THE PROCESS

My 20 year journey with a Tier 14 side

My 20 year journey with a Tier 14 side

Its been so emotional me typing this up right now. Let me start from the beginning; Mellor are a local team of mine and I found them on this database. I had always been interested in building my local team up so I did. The journey was treacherous and it definitely didn't help that the football league teams kept taking my players. It was only up until the Football League that my team became sustainable after all we were writhing in debt. When we reached the PREM it was a great feeling. In only the second season with 3 games left in the season we were 1 point away from Man Utd(who were at the summit of the PREM). We lose to Bristol City(Mid Table) and we got FM'ed like per usual. Draw to lowly Bournemouth then lose to Chelsea on the final day. We managed to reach Europa league. That's when I decided to retire. Why did I retire you ask? I was burnt out after about 62 days of in game gameplay I wasn't loving the game as much as I did. This leads to my second point which is that I just enjoyed Non-League more. The Football League never made me feel like I was enjoying the game just slog after slog. This is the best save I have ever done and this is where I take my bow from FM management. I just feel like I will never love an FM save as much as I loved this one.
    Thanks for reading
P.S: Jamie Dix is perhaps my favourite legend ever.

Lost a 5star Youth player and just received a 1.1mil compensation. Why?

    Posted: 20 Aug 2021 04:24 PM PDT

So I just got a 5star cm in my youth intake and he was on a youth contract for 4 more years. Then out of nowhere Atleti were interested and I rejected a bid from them but then out of nowhere I get a message that I will receive 1.1 mil in compensation and that the cm is leaving.

    How did this happen?
