I expect a lot of save scum confessions, but I have, I believe, a unique confession to make.

In the good old days (FM 2005), I did my fair share of save scumming, but I found that this wasn't always the most efficient way of winning a game.

If I was struggling to get the result I wanted, I would add a manager and take control of the opposition. I would then set the opposition formation up with everyone on the wings so that there was a complete gap in the middle for my team to exploit. I'd then win 20-0, retire the other manager, and get on with my season.

I feel a great deal of shame about this, and I have repented of my sins. I now play the game as intended with no cheating which is actually much more enjoyable. There's nothing like losing 3 consecutive playoff finals in a row to really immerse you in the game.

Forgive me, I was young...what confessions do you have?

Im talking about the ones that arent cheating per say, but not so deep down you knew it wasnt fair. I'll start: I think it was in the fm 2007 days, you could bid 50-60-70 mill £ after 50 games. The club reciving the offer would then act like the money was up front, and accept. The naughty part was that this would not affect your transfer budget, or next years transfer budget. I still remember building a rather insane Hull city side, reacing havoc in the championship.

The boring part was that you had to make sure nobody got to 50 matches, or else you would be fucked….

How to force a player to accept a contract offer from another team?

Basically I received a great offer on deadline day from Fiorentina for an out-of-form Raul De Tomas on huge wages. I have couple of great replacements lined up for him so this would be a great transfer.

But no matter what I say to him - transfer list, unregister from squad etc - he just wont accept Fiorentina's contract offer.

What can I do?
