- Anybody have any ideas on how to get rid of this. As I've signed literally every single lietchensteiner who has a chance of making my team and when I sign crap ones the board gets angry so I cant win.

- One of the last custom kits request I had is for a save with Trastevere Calcio, a club that plays in the Italian 4th tier and where a certain Francesco Totti started play football at the age of 8 If you've ever been to Rome you should know Trastevere is the most central area of the city
- The first of July will always be one hell of a crazy day.
- Nine games to go. Keeping up with Ajax has been a huge struggle. And we've still got to go to their place in the 3rd from last game. Haven't won anything yet in this save. I am officially anxious.

Sunderland til I die - or retire: I turned Sunderland into the oldest squad in the league Posted: 31 Jul 2021 09:33 AM PDT I have set up dynasties, I have risen to the top, I have journeyed through continents to where the wind takes me. And yet, I feel quite...... dissatisfied. Almost as if things are going too well. I crave a challenge, a new and fresh challenge. And then it came to my mind: Wonderkids. Ah yes, wonderkids. The plentiful of Ronaldos and Messis, blessings from the Lord who likely originates from South America. For the first time, I will be playing without the safety of knowing I can always rely on them to develop or be my cash bank. I am playing with old players. The rules 1. Only sign players aged 30 or above; get rid of players under the age of 30. 2. Do not take in any youth players, and try to downscale everything related to the youth setup. 3. Never argue with your elders - give in to their demands, try to fulfill them; exceptions are when two players have the same demand(e.g. both wanting captaincy). 4. Do not negotiate their contract unless there are board restrictions; this does not apply for contract lengths, and they should be negotiated to the longest period possible. The goal, as always, is to get promoted and be an established championship side. The Team Good Ol' Sunderland - the magical land with John O'Shea and Joleon Lescott as starting CBs in the Prem. I choose them because I firmly believe that the board knows the value of old players. If anything, the tragedy of Josh Maja should still be fresh in their mind, whispering the treachery of young players. Apparently not. They wished for me to develop youngsters in their system, and would not allow me to remove such philosophy. I decide to ignore them. They will see in time. The squad has merely 3 real players: long-serving midfielder Leadbitter, ex-prem winger Mcgeady, and Chris Maguire. I immediately offered everyone else out for transfer, including those players in the u23 and u18. Some of them are not happy with it, but the message had to be sent. first team tactics at the start of the game It suffices to say that I need more players, unless I want my coaches, which consisted of legends like Duff and Hyppia, to come out of retirement. Transfers I made ambitious loan moves for Messi, Ronaldo, Zlatan and Buffon, but despite 708 fans thinking a loan to Sunderland would be 'a decent opportunity' for Ronaldo, the deals weren't to be made. I have to settle for lesser players, and when Tom "Huddle in the Middle" Huddlestone told me that I don't have the financial muscle to come close to signing him, I know this is going to be a busy summer. Absolutely based 708 Juve fans I go on missed out on several star signings such as Sacary Bagna, Danny Simpson and Heurelho Gomes due to the middle east and MLS offering 5 times the money I did. But after some struggles, I managed to get some big names to sign the thing. Former premier league stars Carlos Sanchez, Steven Naismith, Nathan Dyer, and Marc Wilson join up with the team, alongside Spainards Carlos Martinez, Casto and Angel. Nomadic French international Aly Cissokho also signs, so did Swiss international Almen Abdi and Welsh Craig Morgan. Former player Lee Camp also returned and promptly asked to leave 10 days later when I signed Casto, despite previously agreeing to be a backup. Cissokho also had concerns about Boukary Drame's arrival. People are very strange these days. Former Leicester man Paul Konchesky also joined, with his secondary role being my u18s coach. I told him that there won't be anyone in the u18s, but he told me he enjoyed the solitude at the Academy of Light, so I let him be. My last signing is the man, the myth, the legend Adebayo Akinfenwa himself. Initially disinterested, he was sold when I told him of my vision - perhaps aided by the 2 buckets of fried chicken I brought with me - and accepted my invitation. I am overjoyed at this signing. If anyone encapsulates the phrase 'age is just a number' better than Adam Johnson, it's him. The squad After making 21 signings and countless sales, I finally assembled a squad of 22 players. Since I only have 2 players in each position and league one would not allow more non-youngsters to be registered (that has to count towards ageism right?), I invested in the best physio and fitness coaches I can get. Ex-Swansea right-back Angel Rangel has already damaged his Achilles and will be out for 7 months during his trial, and I wouldn't want that to happen to my players. My team averages an impressive 34 years old - about 9 years higher than average. And not surprisingly, we are the slowest team with the lowest stamina, with both acceleration and pace averaging just below 10, as well as the worst dribbling team. On the flip side, our mental fortitude is top-notch, and have the most international experience on our team. I set up as a rather ambitious 4-2-4. The attacking method is simple: plain old British crossing game. With absolute units like Akinfenwa and Lukas Jukiewicz as target men and good crossers at my flanks, I am confident goals will be plentiful. In the middle we have north-east Pirlo Abdi and north-east Xavi Angel dictating the field and spraying passes, with Sanchez and Leadbitter protecting them. The defense drops deep, hoping to block any advances into our final third. The first 5 games While transfers are going on, the season has quietly started. Our first official game is the Carabao club against Huddersfield. We lost 3-1. The second game is the Papa John trophy against Fleetwood. We lost again. The third game is a league game against Bristol Rovers. We barely drew after going down to 10 men because Martinez got his second yellow. Afterward, heavy 3-0 defeat at Oxford. We did manage to pick up a win and kept a clean sheet against Peterborough thanks to an own goal, but things are not good for a championship-aspiring team. Something is not right, but I refuse to believe that the losses are due to my players being old and slow. It must be my tactical mistake. Lots of work need to be done. [link] [comments]
Posted: 31 Jul 2021 02:58 PM PDT For a while now I've wanted to create a club, Reddit FC, in which the subreddit can join in on making decisions. I'd do a review every season and ask for directions for the next one. Before I create the club I would like some thoughts on how you would like the club to be. I'd love it if people answered the following questions, most upvotes win:) -Which league should I join? -Stadium name? -Shirt colours? -What should be the teams playing philosophy? Formation? -Transfer philosophy? I really hope at least a few guys like the idea, and that we can create an amazing adventure together [link] [comments]

Could dynamic potential work in FM? Posted: 31 Jul 2021 10:39 AM PDT One of the biggest things i have been wanting the most these last few years is some sort of a dynamic potential system in FM. I'm not talking about an excessive system like the one in Fifa, i'm talking about a system that rewards average rating over an entire season. We have probably all had a decent striker who played brilliantly over a season, but didn't really have the attributes for it. Think like Callum Wilson in fm21. Let's say he has a brilliant season for your Newcastle side, like 35 goals in the league, which is not unrealistic with players like Callum. Next season, he does the same thing again, and stays in form. His attributes will NEVER change over these two seasons, they might even go down because he is 29 at the start of the game. When Vardy had the brilliant season for Leicester in real life, he was upgraded, both in terms of real life value and in terms of FM attributes. If a player has a season like this in game, shouldn't some sort of this system apply to this too? Im tired of having players performing well, but just because their potential isn't 170+, their attributes won't change no matter the season and performances they're putting in. I don't know if there is a way to make this system work, without it being to exploitative. What do you guys think? Edit: Maybe it should be called Dynamic Attributes and not Dynamic Potential. Makes more sense. [link] [comments]
