    [FM20] Bambesch Forest | Luxembourg Build A Nation | Season 6 + 7

If you haven't read the previous posts, you can find them on my profile.

I decided to bundle season 6 and 7 together because I forget to take some screenshots in season 6 so I thought it would be easier to do it together, in future I'll do the normal one season updates.

    Season 6

    Europe

After winning the league last season we qualified for the Champions League, We did really well this season managing to qualify for the group stages of the Conference League. We ended up getting about five million in prize money which was big for the club. If we can guarantee group stages every season for the next few years I should be able to improve the facilities like I want to.

We even managed to beat Braga!

    Cup

We managed to get to the final, but lost on penalties to Una Strassen. I'm disappointed to have not yet won the cup but hopefully next year we can lift this curse we have with it.

    League

With being in the group stages I had to play weakened teams in the league to make sure my players didn't get injured. This ended up costing me valuable points as I was drawing too many games. Unfortunately we weren't able to retain the title as Racing had a crazy run of form, winning the last ten in a row and being unbeaten since October.

Racing, us, and Una Strassen qualify for Europe. We went down a few places in the coefficients table but with our performance in Europe this season that should return to four teams next year.

    Miscellaneous

One important thing that happened is I asked the board after the prize money I got from Europe if we could turn professional and they agreed. We turn professional at the end of the season. This is obviously good for retaining players, training players, and attracting a higher caliber of players.

An important step in our journey.

The rest of the end of season screenshots are here.

    Season 7

    Europe

With our disappointing performance in the league we only qualify for the Conference League and we unfortunately didn't make it to the group stages this year. With us losing money every month I need to make sure we make it to the group stage next year or I might be in financial trouble.

We easily won our game against San Marino side Pennarossa but lost against Croatian side Rijeka who ended up getting into the group stages.

    Cup

We finally won the Luxembourg Cup! After 6 years of failure I finally put the old curse behind me and win. Our run up until the semi-final was very straight forward with us facing lower league teams and national side Mondorf who aren't particularly strong. I was able to rest my players and give the youth players a few minutes.

We won against Racing in the final after beating Dudelange in the semi.

    League

We won the league this year, and if you notice from the screenshot we only drew one game the whole year, not losing once. We went unbeaten. I've been gradually bringing in better and better players the last two seasons and the results are finally starting to show. I will give you a recap of my squad going into next season.

Racing, Una Strassen, and Jeunesse Esch qualify fro Europe along with me.

    Notable Departures

A lot of the players I showed you in the season five update have since left the club. With us turning professional we were able to get better players, and instead of having players go on frees and leave my team I could retain them. However, big clubs still come after my players and I'm forced to sell. Here are the more notable departures from the last two seasons.

    Igor Rodrigues / GK

Before I turned professional and could offer contacts Igor was stolen from me by a Saudi side. Rouyard was thankfully able to step in and did a good job for us.

    Shayne Lavery / ST

Lavery was not playing as much with new signings I had made playing better, by January he was kicking up a fuss so I decided to let him go. (This was before we turned professional).

    Danny Henriques / DC

I signed Henriques in the January window of season 6, he was only ever a back up and only made 4 appearances for me. I offered him to clubs and Racing came in with a 2.5K bid which was half of his value. I said I was happy enough with that and sold him.

    Vladislav Lozhkin / ST

Same story as Lavery, wasn't playing as much or better than new signings. Wanted to leave so I offered him out and he was back in Belarus.

    Antonin Barak / MC

I signed Barak in the January window of season 6. He was by far my best midfielder and played very well. I ended up getting a bid from him off a Saudi team (again) and I couldn't convince him to stay so I ended up selling him for about 20K. He's a big player to lose and I hope I can replace him.

You might be wondering about all the new players I brought in, but I'll do a squad update for season 8 and you can see my squad then. I'll highlight the two most important players for me in the last two seasons.

    Important Players

    Denis Zorko / 22 / Slovenian / DL

Zorko was an academy reject from Napoli. I found him in the U21 squad of Slovenia. He's an attacking full back with great physicals. He's been an ever present player in the squad the last few years and assisted a total of 17 this season!

    Alexandre Mendy / 32 / Senegalese / ST

Formally playing for Bordeaux, I found him as a free agent in the beginning of season 6. He has been a scoring machine, scoring 29 and 30 in the two seasons. A very strong, technically gifted player. My only concern with him is his age but I'm sure he'll still be very useful going into next season.

    Miscellaneous

With my first double completed I became an Icon in the club. Along with Lozhkin. Next season we again go into the Champions League, aiming for group stages. Domestically we look to retain our double and cement ourselves as the dominant club in Luxembourg.

Is this even legal? They waited until he signed a contract before they poached him.
