Really think they need to do a better job at making players better staff after they retire. Apparently legendary goalkeeper Gianluigi Buffon managed to go his whole career without actually knowing anything about goalkeeping

I'm currently in my 12th year with Dagenham and Redbridge (Dag and Red (D&R) ). I took them from Vanarama National to the premier league in 9 seasons and we're currently a stable bottom half team who somehow managed to win one Carabao cup and one FA cup (met Fulham in the final. They somehow beat all the big boys for me). For over 5 years (from championship) two players have carried my team on their backs and somehow keep rejecting transfers to bigger mid table clubs even when I wanted to sell them to save the clubs finances. They are Jude Bellingham and Harvey Elliott and I got them both on a free when they were released. I had to shatter my wage structure for them cos they doubted I could afford their salaries (they are the ones who shattered our finances) and although I regretted it at first, I'm grateful to them for staying with me despite all the bids I accepted and all the "bigger small clubs" interest. Enough with the intro, let's get to the point. The world cup just ended and as usual England disappointed expectant fans and that lead to Gerrard losing his job and somehow they approached me to fill his legendary boots. I had to save at that point and discuss this with the missus who is tired of me for always involving her in my virtual addiction. After hours of deliberation, she asked me what country my main players are from and if they are in the team. I said no that they couldn't realize their potential because they signed for a club with poor training facilities and just then a scum idea popped into my head. I loaded my save and went straight to accept the job offer - not for myself but for the two players who stayed loyal to me throughout the years, who stuck by me when other players (who were obviously worse than them) were asking to move to bigger clubs (like they could start elsewhere) and for better contracts.

I watched the full 90 minutes of their debuts with the missus. Of course I got teary eyes while watching Elliot net a debut goal and Bellingham join him in celebration. I played both of them in my second match and I resigned after international duty. I feel bad for England but I'm proud of the players who joined me when I was just an average championship team fighting for playoffs. They are the last 2 original players as my squad is currently filled with regens with potential. I'll do my best to keep my 2 legends at the club till they retire.

I've taken over the Italian national team in my save, and team talks don't have any effect at all. I've played 3 games and there has been no response to any team talk My manager is Scottish so he obviously won't speak Italian so I'm wondering if that's the reason why? And if so is there a way to send my manager on a course to learn it, or does it happen through adaptability over time? It's not a big problem yet as I've only played easy teams and won fairly comfortable so far but I'm worried at a big tournament I might need a reaction at half time and not be able to get one
