    every year, every save, after a couple seasons i am looking for a goalkeeper. i think, let's find somebody kinda cheap, really good who wants to join who doesn't need too high of wages. and i think, maybe this year it will be someone new

    but no. every time he appears, like a spectre on the edge of my subconscious. waiting and watching until at last i turn to him in shame. he goes on to become signing of the season yet again and i shed a single tear

    how do i stop? i think i need help guys. he's just... always the best option...

    Finally knocked off PSG

    Okay, objectively, winning League Un in your 4th season with OM (a pretty big club with all it needs to succeed) is no great accomplishment, especially with just 90 points in what was clearly a super off year for PSG (their coach bolted to Juve and... I guess the new guy wasn't as good? Literally never seen a coaching change matter quite like this).

    BUT... this is the first time I've actually done it with my own tactic (not some plug-and-play stuff) and MAN is it more satisfying. Especially because I was pretty sure my season was ruined at the start when Spurs poached my world class striker at the end of the first transfer window.

    What I'm particularly proud of here is... I never really fixed that. I panic bought a 21 Argentinian wonderkid, but it turned out he wasn't nearly ready for prime time (and maybe never will be :(. He's got great technicals and mentals and personality, but his physicals are middling -- a bunch of 12s-- and... maybe that's just always gonna hold him back). My backup striker was already a kid who I was going to blood a little, and he was even more useless. In the second transfer window, I maybe overcompensated, going for an older, physically strong and quick player, but he never really figured it out either. All told, I got 13 league goals from my 3-header striker solution all season (MY guy scored 20 for Spurs so... good on you, jerks). Even that is inflated because 4 or 5 of those were penalties. I had under 10 goals from open play from my striker position all season.

    But, everybody else on my team stepped up like HEROES. My 2 starting wings (I play a 433) combined in league for 29 goals and 30 assists. My *third* wing bagged 6 when I put him in. I got 8 goals from my AP. I got 8 goals from my Box to Box, and this cat has been with me from the jump and never bagged more than 2 and I usually scream at the screen every time he takes a shot. 10 goals FROM MY CB from corners, and another 8 from my other CB, and another 6 combined from the other two I rotate in there (I led the league in goals from corners BY FAR, have three routines folks) The only starters who scored less than six were ONE of my fullbacks (and, of course, my freaking striker).

    And my goalie, my tall, agile, beautiful Turkish rockstar goalie, had 26 league shutouts in 38 games... without even *that much* help because I was constantly throwing people forward trying to score (I played almost the whole season on Positive, and High Tempo) .

    The whole "my own tactic" thing *really* helped because... I actually understood how it worked. So when I wasn't getting production from one position, I knew what to do, or what to try at least. I mean, didn't didn't always work... I got blitzed out of the Champions League Group like I stole something (6 games, 0 goals from strikers, of course, even missed a penalty).

    I don't really know what to do from here because clearly this is not sustainable. And "Regular PSG" beats even this season by end of April. But having swung and missed on two striker replacements, I don't know where to spend the $40M transfer budget. But... I'll worry about that later. Now, (well, tomorrow) I'm gonna go on Dirzly and find the most reasonably priced bottle of wine from Marseille, France I can find. :)

    TLDR: Causal FM player does NOT get FM'd with French club, has all the feels.

    So I've just come off a game. 2-0 up. Cruising. 80th minute Sheffield United pull a goal back. No worries for my invincible Reading team. Oh ok they equalised in the 85th. I'm really annoyed. Not half as annoyed as I am in the 87th minute when they took the lead.

    The point of this is I want to convey my anger. I don't want to talk assertively in a press conference. I want to throw cups of tea Barry Fry style or kick a football boot into someone's face like Ferguson. I can never get my anger across to my players and that's why I'm here venting my rage. Rant over
