Pretty sure I just conned the Braintree board Posted: 29 Dec 2020 02:09 AM PST I was called into a boardroom meeting by the board and told they were looking to get rid of me I asked for another month they said they would give me that time to improve the results. During that time results have not improved and about three days before the deadline I completed the coaching course they sent me on. Naturally I asked to be sent on another one right away I fully expected to be told no and that's what they said, however when I spoke to them about it they said the reasoning was they didn't want me joining another club after completing it so I promised to sign another contract and the mugs accepted it and have sent me on the course. Tried to resign Posted: 29 Dec 2020 09:32 AM PST I've been in a save with Forest Green Rovers for like 14 seasons, won the Premier League for the past 5 years or so. Then came the news, my hometown club, 1. FC Kaiserslautern, has been relegated to the second division (yet again). They signed Mattia De Sciglio of all people to get promoted again but after like half a season they were 10th and he was sacked. I immediately told the press that I'm interested and a few days later announced my resignation at Forest Green Rovers for the end of the season to take on the job in the new season and lead 1. FC Kaiserslautern to glory. One day later I get a mail from Forest Green's president begging me to reconsider my resignation and asking what it takes me to stay. So I told him, raise the wage budget so we can sign better players, and he raised the wage budget from like 5.25 million pounds to 6.2 million in a heartbeat. I looked into that man's eyes and I just couldn't tell him no, giving up all that we had built together, I had to stay. ​ So now I'm staying at Forest Green Rovers, but I really want a new challenge, so I don't know if it was the right decision. submitted by /u/lionboy33 [link] [comments]
