Sacked after 30 seasons. The pain. The anguish. The end of an era.

Right out of the blue the Dumbarton board sacked me for not playing enough youth players in the league.

I requested they updated youth facilities a few months so that we could look to bring in more youth players to the first team. The chairman said ok, and if you don't it may result in your termination. I assumed ok this is obviously not something in the immediate future. But no, when I got sacked this was given as the reason in the press release.

There wasn't a renegotiation of the club values and this was never built in. So to get sacked right before the Europa League final was a surprise (obviously they lost afterwards) and I'm absolutely gutted, manager was performance was sitting at 'B.' The board expectation was to make semi final champions league. I got knocked out in the group stage after having Atleti and Juventus despite being the first seed ourselves. Finished 3rd with 10 points and were on to EL. Won the league and league cup. Penalty shoot out loss to Rangers in Scottish cup. Not a horrible season at all. Just would have expected more from the club after all I've done for them.

I left the club with £250 million in the bank and probably the best squad I've ever had.

Now to wait for the club to sell all my players.

Now to wait for Celtic or Rangers to sack their current managers. Dumbarton I'm going to do you what I done to the Old Firm. You're going to fucking regret this.

EDIT: Absolutely cleared out my squad. £411 million worth of players sold. Worst part is the club we're doing amazing financially and they've massively undersold so many players. Good luck you fuckers.

Second EDIT: I've taken a job with Las Palmas in the Spanish second division. I need a change of scenery and moving to Gran Canaria is exactly what I need for the time being. Scotland I'll be back.

8 consecutive winless match, 5 star players injured for weeks, losing against mid table teams

Deleted my current save, after I got extremely angry.

Just for context, I had a brilliant start to the season. Was second at December, 2 points off the leaders.

All of a sudden I am on this big winless streak, playing pathetic football and all my players are getting injured.

I guess I reacted a bit too harshly, but it was only half season save so I think I didn't lose much.

Any ideas what should I do next?

    My Unemployed save story

    Posted: 04 Nov 2020 05:16 AM PST

In light of my recent application to the FM charity league, I have decided to show probably my best achievement to date.

I started off without a job, with no coaching qualifications and as a former Sunday league player.

    Ekenas Tammisaari (June 2019-July 2021)

My first job was in the Finnish second division and it started off well with a promotion straight to the first division. I finished the next season with a solid mid table finish

    Kristuansund (July 2021- November 2021)

I jumped at the chance to progress my career to the next level and moving from Finland to Norway was a big move. However it seemed to be too big as I very rapidly lost the dressing room and was subsequently sacked. Not ideal

    Esbjerg (March 2022-July 2025)

Some time sitting on the sidelines and i managed to get a job in Denmark. My first task was keeping them up with I did and topped the relegation group. The next season I won the danish cup. We were in the Europa league and some big away wins followed against galatasaray were a highlight. However this was topped when we fought off the big boys and won the Superliga

    VFL Wolfsburg (July 2025-April 2027)

I capitalised on this good form and bagged myself a huge job at Wolfsburg. First season was relatively solid with a 6th place finish and quarter finalists in the Europa. However next season we were hoping to push on but after a fairly underwhelming start and getting knocked out of the second round of the Europa league by Sevilla was the last straw and I was gone

    Brighton (November 2027- May 2028)

I was desperate for a move to the Premier League and I jumped at the chance to manage a struggling Brighton. We struggled a little at first but did incredibly well in cup competitions getting the final of the Carabao cup beating Liverpool on the way and the semis of the FA cup. However we weren't able to carry this form in the league and a late flurry of results wasn't enough to stay up

    Wales (July 2028-June 2029)

After being out of a job for a long time and the exodus of managers after summer tournaments I reluctantly accepted an international job. Pretty boring stuff really I was pretty depressed and ruing the rapid decline of my career

    Charlton (June 2028 - May 2031)

Bored of international management I accepted a job in the championship. An unbelievable season lead us from relegation fodder to playoffs but we missed out in the final. Then the following season we made the playoffs again but were knocked out in the semi finals. But I proved to myself I was a competent manager

Sheffield United (May 2031- July 2033)

After agreeing a pre contract I took over the blades after they failed to go up after being relegated the season before. First season went to plan with promotion the premier league. We carried this momentum into the next season where we finished an unbelievable 5th on my return to the premier league

    Manchester City (July 2033- present)

After a sensational season with the blades I was offered the City job who had underperformed the last few years. The season started well with a win in the community shield and the Europa league as well as a 3rd place finish in the prem. This season started with a loss in the super cup against Barcelona but we are currently 3/3 in the prem
