I have won an incredible 1 out of 19 penalty shootouts (the first two were from my stint in Chelsea). Notable losses include the Champions league, Super Cup, and Club World Cup finals. Surely I'm not the only one?

Did a lot of miracles with this team. Now what should I do? (long post, part 1)

    Here is part 2: https://www.reddit.com/r/footballmanagergames/comments/f3gzkx/did_a_lot_of_miracles_with_this_team_now_what/

So, I'm one of those who don't start too many new saves, and I often get tired with some careers after two or three seasons and just leave them there. However, there are three different saves that I have enjoyed the most. I've got FM17, 18 and 19.

My first really good save on FM17 came with Cailungo, which is, in real life, probably the worst team in the San Marino football league. Brought them to the league playoffs and to a national cup final in my first season. Proceeded to have similar (although not as good as that) results in the following three seasons. And that was it.

Then a save with the North Korea national team. Although I don't really like coaching national teams in FM, this save was so amazing and I loved it so much. Didn't really do much for the country, never qualified for the World Cup, but my team was consistent, fun to watch, regularly qualified for the Asian Cup and beat their Chinese friends-rivals in some occasions. Got to the Asian Cup quarterfinals just to get thrashed (7-0) by Australia in 2023. Had a disappointing series of results (which could be resumed in a 0-3 loss against Thailand) after the pretty good 2023 campaign and got sacked right after a bad 2027 Asian Cup group stage. It was such a shame, I could see that things were changing, some players got to play in France and Switzerland and North Korean clubs were starting to have a say in the AFC Champions League. It was so interesting to say the least.

But I'm not going to talk about either of these saves. The save I'm going to talk about started in the strangest way ever. Well, at the beginning of the save (FM17) I was actually unemployed.

Got a couple offers but didn't find them interesting. I wanted to try an adventure in Northern Europe.

So, FC Gute offered me a short-term contract. Let me introduce you to FC Gute. They're a small but really old team (their foundation occurred in 1904) who, in real life, have always been wandering around through Swedish Division 1, 2 and 3 (respectively the 3rd, 4th and 5th tier of Swedish football). They have got this aesthetically pleasing orange-black colour combination and play in a particular and unusual Swedish city called Visby. Do you know where it is? Neither did I, before this save. I'll show you!

    https://preview.redd.it/ltfo0c0fwpg41.png?width=181&format=png&auto=webp&s=f4db51d66a827dd5be105cb45190cdf02bdb3192

I know how you're feeling right now. Before I started this save, I hadn't even noticed that Sweden had such a big island. So, they offered me a contract. They were in a bad situation. And with bad I mean that they were fighting to keep their Division 2 hopes alive. They hired me in July, when they were halfway through the season (Swedish football starts in March and ends in November), and we were 12th out of 14 in our D2 group (last two teams get relegated, third- and fourth-to-last teams have a playoff against second-placed D3 teams). I can't make screenshots of this save and you'll later know why. But believe me, I made two or three loan signings to correct a really bad defense (and goalkeeper) and turned the whole team around. Won almost each and every match in our path. Got as high as 3rd in our group (only the first get promoted and the second have a playoff). We signed many new players and staff members for the following (2017) season. Had a team that was really good for D2 but not blatantly better than the others. Got promoted to D1 with only 1 loss in the whole season.

And then the save broke down. I just had an error (on February 2017 or around there) that wouldn't allow me to go further. Tried to get the save back many times but just couldn't. I was heartbroken.

So I waited for FM18 to do it all again. So I started an FM18 save with Gute, and this is where the magic begins.

    2017
The first-season team was very similar to the one I had found on FM17 - not really bad but also not good enough to fight for the top of D2. We're able to have a very calm and nice 2017 season, with a 6th place finish. Nothing remarkable to say. I also don't remember too much about this season, even because I played it 2 real years ago.

    2018
Still a D2 side, we get some really good new players on a free or on loan (we still can't spend anything). Among them is Daniel Hermansson, an amazing at-the-time-17 year old offensive right back on loan from Norrkoping who would later have a great career, playing for the Swedish national team 33 times, and for clubs like Atalanta, Standard, Besiktas, Lyon and Zenit St. Petersburg, which is the team he's playing for in this save's current situation. We have an amazing season, carried by our outstanding offense (Swedish-Congolese big man Frederic Kayembe Ilolo when needed, but especially our duo up front, Marcus Kettler and Marcus Nobell were fundamental in 2018 and they will be fundamental in the following seasons) and by our...well, let's just say it was our defense. We win 20 games, draw one and lose five (of which two were the last two games of the season, when we were already sure of being promoted and played with our reserves). So we get promoted, and this time no one will stop us. We also don't play the 2018 Swedish Cup because of a bug. Gotta love Football Manager.

    https://preview.redd.it/b8v538ti4qg41.png?width=956&format=png&auto=webp&s=c22cc87d621dab094ba8fc00578be4ff574c1af1

    2019
Expectations are quite high. We sign many players, again, on loan or on a free: Alan Aljaderi (one of those midfielders who are not technically good, but you love them because they always fight on the pitch) Filip Varenhed (striker, on loan from our Elfsborg friends), Dan Åhlund (right wing on loan from Malmo. He will stay for a year and a half, and will then confirm his initial potential), but especially Swedish offensive midfielder Adrian Hamidi, who, after a 4-year (yes) loan (from Djurgårdens) period with our team, will stay with us and become an absolute crack. However, it's not the best season ever. Still a mid-table season, similar to the 2017 one in D2. We finish in eighth place. This time we do play in the Swedish Cup, we win against Vasalunds in the first round (who was in our division) on penalties after a 4-4 draw (yes, it was as frustrating as it sounds), then, for the first time in this save, we play a first-tier team (Norrkoping, one of the best teams in Sweden) in the second round. We play against them away from home and lose 5-1, but it was nice to play in such a big stadium and get a consolation goal thanks to a penalty scored by Sebastian Starkenberg near the end of the game. Nothing else was worthy of notice, to be honest.

    2020
We get Kayembe Ilolo back, this time on a free and not on loan. We make Varenhed's loan move permanent. We get young and solid centre-back Gustaf Lagerbielke on loan from AIK, and we will later extend that loan twice. And - plot twist - we actually pay to get a player! Like, real money! We pay 3,900 euros to buy left midfielder Simon Guli from fellow D1 side Ljungskile. He's really bad, though. We also get midfielder Jakob Radgowski on loan from Malmo, who will have a difficult first half-season, but then he will play a few games that will turn out to be extremely important. Plays nine games, scores twice and gives three assists with an average rating of 7.15. We have a great season, and this time we beat the expectations. Despite a 0-3 loss in the first league game of the season, and some distractions that will give us some unnecessary losses, our season will be almost perfect. We also go through the first two Swedish Cup rounds. In the second one, we win for the first time against a first-tier side, which is IK Sirius. We beat them 0-3 in their own stadium, which was amazing. Kettler and Nobell both score in the first five minutes, followed by left-wing Ignatius Malki. And especially, we get promoted to Superettan, the second tier of Swedish football. My team was good but I wouldn't have predicted a first place at the beginning of the season. We get defeated again in the last game of the season, by Varbergs BoIS, who achieve safety thanks to that win. They also have a tomato in their logo, how could anyone let them get relegated? Well, we lose because I basically line up the under 21 team, with three or four players on their debut.

    https://preview.redd.it/kjt08qkwdqg41.png?width=959&format=png&auto=webp&s=ba9db0891b3aefaa27677aa82492c2d5ea3ee75f

    2021
We sign right midfielder Furkan Motori on a free and central midfielder Daniel Ramadanovic, who I will proceed to love and protect with my whole heart because of his bravery. The Swedish Cup, unlike the leagues, starts in July, then has a group stage in February-March and the first team out of every one of the eight groups gets to play the quarterfinals. We actually beat every team in our group, including first-tier team IFK Goteborg and newly relegated team Dalkurd. Then we lose 3-1 against Norrkoping in their stadium, which is understandable. We win the first two second-tier games in the history of FC Gute. The second of them is a 3-2 win in Ostersund against Ostersunds FK, yes, the ones who played against Arsenal IRL, and also the ones who would later win the Superettan title this season, and we beat them thanks to an 89th minute goal by Ramadanovic, which is great. However, a really difficult period was waiting for us. We lose 6 games out of the following nine, because of an extremely weak defense and goalkeeping. We concede 21 goals in these 9 games, despite changing 3 goalkeepers. Anyway, we get some things right just before the season is halfway through and get to the fifth place when the first leg ends.We proceed to have what looked like the most normal season ever. We're not bad, but we still concede too many goals. For the first time ever, we get money to sell a player. Well, it is actually 10 (ten) euros. Then we sign Leo Petrot, a French left-back, and Elias Stenhoff, a goalkeeper. We also pay 16,250 euros for Amos Ekhalie, a midfielder from Kenya who played in Finnish side Mariehamn. And then, we do the unthinkable. We win against Ostersunds thanks to a goal by Varenhed (we will be the only team to beat them both times this season) and we won't look back again. We win 10 games out of the last 13 ones, with eight wins in a row among them.It all comes down to the last game. If we get a result as good as - or better than - the one that Falkenbergs get, we're promoted. We play in Goteborg against Orgryte, Falkenbergs play home against Degerfors. We get up 3-0, but then get chased. The game will end in a 4-4 draw. But Falkenbergs got defeated by Degerfors, 1-3. We're promoted to the Swedish Premier League, or Allsvenskan, if you prefer. Marcus Kettler (33 goals in 27 games), Petrot, Hamidi and friends brought us, an incredibly niche team from an island, to the top of the Swedish football system. This is amazing.

Bringing a tier 10 English team to the premier league without transfers - Season 5 - Leicester Road

    Posted: 13 Feb 2020 07:42 AM PST

For those reading for the first time this is my goal:

Take over a tier 10 English club, get them promoted all the way to the premier league without buying a single player i.e. only relying on regens from my youth academy!

If you want to read the story from the start, I've created a sub dedicated just to this save where every update is neatly ordered - https://www.reddit.com/r/NoTransfersFmStories/

    Season 5

    LEAGUE

After 4 completed seasons we only managed to get promoted once. That happened in season 2. The reason is we got very OP teams in our leagues where even after getting 98pts, we finish at the 3rd spot! Ilkeston Town and Loughborough University had remarkable seasons and we're unbeatable.

This season started really well in the league with 12 wins and 2 draws in the first 14 games. We were really efficient scoring 4+ goals in 6 games while having 6 clean sheets! This really felt like a promotion was going to finally happen since no one else showed signs of domination. No one was even close pts wise so far.

    https://i.imgur.com/vWKQfsC.jpg?1

We suffered our first defeat in the 15th gameweek and again against a weaker team. If we analize the game I can say with pretty high confidence it was just a bad gameweek for us that just happens. Nothing I could do.

    https://i.imgur.com/nhFdDx2.jpg

They (yellow) had 2 good chances and scored one of them. All other shots were really poor and were shot from outside the box. The second goal game from an error from my GK. In comparison we had 6 shots from inside the box, 2 on the very edge and only 1 terrible attempt.

The rest of the season was kind of boring since we were really dominating the league with having 10+ pts of room between us and the 2nd place

    https://i.imgur.com/6ROiPz7.jpg?1

https://postimg.cc/cKTrK061 - Mathematically secured the title 5 gameweeks before the end of the season

https://postimg.cc/gxmz3QCx - Ended with 26pts ahead of the 2nd placed Boldmere St. Michaels team.

    CUPS

FA CUP - After a disastrous year in FA cup last season where we were defeated in our very first round. This year was better and we got few decent opponents.

https://i.imgur.com/ALZ4vkz.jpg - First game went really well. We won 3-1 while dominating in every aspect of the game. The had 1 shot in the box and got a goal from it, 2nd shot was immediately blocked and the rest were outside. Our team on the other hand had plenty of chances and all three goals came from inside the box. Which is a clear indication that we were the better team. How much we dominated can be better seen from the number of crosses made by both teams https://i.imgur.com/KvAPAgz.jpg They only had 4 :(

https://i.imgur.com/TalBCUf.jpg - The second round was similar. We were the better team and the result 3-2 doesn't really reflect what we did on the pitch. They scored an early penalty in the 16th minute but we equalized very soon, in the 18th min. Alan Skinner was unstoppable, scoring a hattrick.

https://i.imgur.com/CDxIRJw.jpg - Third round saw 2 games after the first game finished 1-1. We were again a better team but sometimes you just don't win. Thankfully we didn't loose and the 2nd game saw even greater domination from our side despite us conceding 2 goals. The match ended 3-2 and a ticket to the 2nd qualifying round or our 4th round in total.

https://i.imgur.com/wqUeQf0.jpg - In the 4th round we were really lucky with the draw. We got another tier 9 (Long Eaton United) team as our opponent. We got another win while being the better team but it feels like we're subscribed to winning by only 1 goal margin.

https://i.imgur.com/wqUeQf0.jpg - 5th round or the 3rd FA qualifying round we got a tier 7 team and a certainly better team than ours. We clearly felt that on the pitch. So much that we didn't even manage to get a single shot on their goal. Well, we did hit the bar once but technically that is not a shot on the goal. Only 2 shots from inside the box but surprisingly we managed to make them only try 6 times against us from inside the box.

Their pitch was very short, but very wide. Almost like a box, so I tried to shift our tactics and try using the wings more. I certainly succeded in doing that, but the cross conversion was abysmal. 15 crosses, only 1 completed cross! https://i.imgur.com/wLW6fKk.jpg . They had 16 attempts but 5 completed which is 1/3, not bad.

This is where the quality of their players was clearly seen. Better team won and deservedly went to the 4th qualifying round.

    FA VASE

https://i.imgur.com/2SIZ9Gy.jpg - After reaching the finals 2 times (and loosing) in 4 years, this season was destined to be the one. That finally happened. Not only did we win the whole thing, we steamrolled our way to the finals. 41-6 was the goal difference in 10 games which equals to 4.1 goals per game scored and only 0.6 conceded. I won't go through all games but let's take a look at the finals.

The game was played once again at the legendary Wembley stadium infront of 679 spectators, out of which were 339 our own fans. We had the initiative throughout the whole game but a minute before the half time they took the lead 1-0. The goal felt like a cold shower. I remember thinking "really, 3 finals and zero trophies. Am I to the Vase what Juve is to the champions league" (Juve has lost 7 finals in CL). Luckily we equalized in the 70min from a penalty which was a huge relief. We had 15 key passes which resulted in 5 great chances, 57% possesion, 18shots, 8 on goal. All that in vain cause the goal sheet was 1-1.

Everything was on our side but not the result. I wouldn't mind loosing against a better team, but to lose against a worse team, and to lose 3/3 times in the finals would make me pull my hair out. Luckily I forgot about all the unlucky and missed opportunities when we took the lead in the 89th minute.

    Midland League Cup

https://i.imgur.com/CD3q0hH.jpg - Almost a treble. Even though I personally don't value this cup that much, it would be nice to win a treble. 16 goals for in 5 games, 3 conceded and still managed to lose. On the surface, statistically we looked even. But if you look at the numbers in more detail, we were a better team but we simply didn't convert our chances and at the same time our defenders truly had a bad day.

    We created 9 chances, they had 2 https://i.imgur.com/AJcAL1s.jpg .

While we did have roughly the same shots, ours were higher quality https://i.imgur.com/DIgBkHA.jpg

If anything could go wrong, this was it.

    REGENS

Compared to last seasons disaster, this youth intake was a lot better. Although we still don't have a high quality GK, at least we got a backup.

    https://postimg.cc/zyCNB73q

We cot a driven personality, couple of professionals. All in all very happy although the positions I really need aren't there. No MC's still. Keep in mind, the star rating from the youth ratings is a terrible indicator of their quality since my HOI has terrible scouting skills.

I have screenshot of all the players individually so if you're interested in them just ask in the comment section.

    TRANSFERS

Obviously all outgoing since I do not purchase players at all.

Our best striker Alan Skinner got poached by a PREMIER LEAGUE TEAM!

We got 0 from that transfer since we're an amateur team but having someone from the premier league interested in our tier 9 players just means that we're heading towards success! Southampton wasn't the only team interested in our player, they had to compete with Fulham, Aston Villa, Burnley and Hull City.

    https://postimg.cc/2LRTVQ1f

He got a 12k salary (1.2k in euros) while our whole team receives 11.81k

At the age of 19, he managed to make 164 appearances, scoring 115 goals in all competitions (12 in friendlies)

His attributes when he departed - https://postimg.cc/SXgw2v4b

Another important player left us, our very own VVD

Although I forgot to take screenshots of his skills. He went to Billericay Town, a tier 4 team.

Did a lot of miracles with this team. Now what should I do? (long post, part 2)

Here is part 1, you should probably read it first :) https://www.reddit.com/r/footballmanagergames/comments/f3h045/did_a_lot_of_miracles_with_this_team_now_what/

    2022
We get a lot of new players who will be fundamental. Steven Theunissen, who had been released by the PSV youth team, joins us along with Orri Arnason from Icelandic side Stjarnan. Those two people will be our starting centre-backs for the next eight (yeah) seasons. We make Ramadanovic's move permanent. Just before the beginning of the league, we sign Laurent Depoitre. Yes, he used to play for Huddersfield in real life, and in this save he will proceed to be incredibly useless. Well, he will actually score just once, the match-winning 1-0 goal against Elfsborg. We win a lot of games 1-0, which says something about the slight improvements of our defense. Well it's still by far the worst defense in the league, with 61 conceded goals, but we score 49 goals, which is an extremely high number for a team that's not at the top. We're actually the third-best offense in the league. We have an average season and we get some stunning results, e.g. two 1-0 wins against AIK, both away (with a goal by the embarrassing Marcus Kettler) and home (with a goal by Ramadanovic), a 6-3 win in Borås against Elfsborg and a 1-1 draw against Malmo FF. Our first time in the Swedish Premier League gives us a ninth place finish, with 40 points in 30 matches. Marcus Nobell retires at the end of the season. He gave everything he could for the team he was the captain of, and it was time for him to stop and find new joy as a youth manager.

    https://preview.redd.it/jsrg9t53oqg41.png?width=971&format=png&auto=webp&s=d31bc4537cbe7ccdce57eaa785ef1b7af849effe

    2023
It's another season that you would define to be solid if you're talking about the team with the lowest budget in the league (here we are!). Another ninth place finish with some good signings. We also make Adrian Hamidi's move permanent and sign Belgian-Guinean midfielder Mohamed Loua who will help us a lot, along with young right back Jonathan Isaksson on loan from Djurgardens. In the summer we sign goalkeeper Marko Kordic from AIK for 73,000 euros. We also sell Mohamed Loua to Hacken for 205,000 euros. The only remarkable thing about this season was our Swedish cup campaign. We get through the group stage, we win the quarterfinals against Djurgardens, then the semifinals against Orebro after penalties. Unfortunately we lose 1-3 against AIK in the cup final after an extremely courageous match.

    https://preview.redd.it/9g66h23cpqg41.png?width=955&format=png&auto=webp&s=cb0a23455c5134acb6f84cafa7a0d1d27fea100f

    2024
We have slight but relevant improvements. We get two players that are probably the best players I have ever had the pleasure to manage during this save. 22 year old inside forward Ludvig Bohlin comes to the team from second tier team Carlstad United, becomes the best player in the team and changes everything. 22 year old striker Erlingur Stefansson signs from Icelandic team FH Hafnarfjordur and literally becomes a goal machine. We have another calm season, although a slightly better one than our first two years in the league. A seventh place finish and a lost cup semi-final. We've got our first youth prospect that turned out to be good. Viktor Lundqvist scores 8 goals in 20 games (most of them as a substitute) and he's sometimes extremely important for the outcome of some matches.

    https://preview.redd.it/fmwh5t22uqg41.png?width=962&format=png&auto=webp&s=49715fe465181dde12cd293700276fd828731000

    2025
This is where it gets fun. The only relevant signings we make are expert (in other words, 35 year old) right back Daniel Sundgren who would play his last season as a footballer with our team, and defensive midfielders Maximilian Schuster and Jan De Groote, respectively from Germany and Belgium. Our season is outstanding. We prove each and every prediction wrong and we get a 62 points second-place finish, second only to an unreachable AIK side which only lost two games, and one of those two games was against us.

    2026
We sign expert defensive midfielder Gustav Sandberg Magnusson from Brommapojkarna, but especially striker Goran Sundstrom, who was the league's top scorer on the previous season, for 300,000 euros from Jonkopings Sodra. We also sign Mohamed Loua again. He's back after three seasons. We sign an amazing Croatian midfielder, Mitja Jug. However, Sundstrom suffers internal competition with two amazing strikers such as Kettler and Stefansson and, when he plays, he finds it difficult to find the back of the net (well, he still scored 14 times between league and cup games, so he's not really bad. We get to the Cup final again, but we lose 1-2 after extra time against AIK. Because of our 2nd place finish last season, it's also time for our Europa League debut. We start on the 2nd qualifying round. We get drawn against Cypriot side AEK Larnaca. We lose 0-3 in Atvidaberg (because our stadium in Visby, which is still the same as the time we were in Division 2, doesn't fulfil European requirements), then we try to do an authentic miracle in Cyprus. We get really close to it, but we win 3-1, so it's not enough. Our league season is... good. Well it's definitely above the average. We get a fifth place.

    2027
We don't sign anyone relevant to be honest. We start the season being unbeaten in our first 9 games and we have a really good season. We get a third place and we qualify to the Europa League again. This season was pretty anonymous, although very good. At the end of the season, Marcus Kettler retires. He did everything for us. He scored 177 goals in 288 matches. He was always there, from Division 2 to the Europa League, from 200 to 50,000 spectators. There was no one like him.

    2028
We sign another German defensive midfielder, Jorg Bremer, then strikers Karl Marsfeld and Zackarias Faour. We also sign midfielders Eric Smith and Samuel Adrian. During the summer, we sign goalkeeper Tim Ronning, who will be our starting goalkeeper for the following seasons. We get another second place finish, but especially we get to the Europa League group stage. We get drawn with Stade Rennais, Gent and Slavia Prague. We only get 5 points, with a win and two draws.

    2029
We make incredibly good signings: Jonathan Isaksson comes back, this time on a permanent 130,000 euros deal from Norrkoping. Left back Morten Rokkedal, striker Johan Joelsson and Macedonian midfielder Kjahil Sulejmani. However, it's probably our most disappointing Swedish Premier League season. We get an eighth place. We go through the third (our first ever) Champions League qualifying round against Mariupol, but then we lose against Porto (we lose 0-2 in Visby and lose 6-0 in Oporto). Our Europa League group stage ends with just two points.

    2030
Orri Arnason, who had been our starting centre back for the previous 9 seasons, leaves for Denmark on a free. Kind of dumb from me, I know. Anyway, we get another amazing centre back, Norwegian Harald Bekke who joins us on a 600,000 euros deal. We get to the Swedish Cup final, we're against Malmo, and this time we throw them out of the window with a 4-1 win. It's our first principal trophy and it was amazing. We finish the league in a good, solid 4th place and our Europa League campaign (we got to the Europa League because we won the cup) ends with five points in the group stage.

    2031
There's a revolution in our midfield. Adrian Hamidi doesn't want to re-sign and leaves on a free just to be a reserve in the Eredivisie. Just so you know, he was with us for 12 seasons and his yearly average rating reached more than 7.00 in every season. We sign two great midfielders, 20 year old Norwegian Preben Gimmestad and 25 year old Swedish Jakob Fagerdahl. We spend a combined 925,000 euros for them. We have a nice Europa League campaign, in a pool with Bologna, Trabzonspor and Far Oer side NSI Runavik at their first ever Europa League group stage. We beat Runavik twice and Bologna in Visby. Our last EL group match is home, against Trabzonspor. If we win, we're through. Unfortunately we can't get further than a 1-1 draw. But in the league is where it gets interesting. We have a perfect season. We only lose once in 28 matches. We can win the league in a match against Hammarby, our competitive rivals. And we beat them, 2-0. We won the Swedish Premier League. We did the impossible.

2032 (this season is not over yet)
We sign Sweden national youth team left back Johan Gunnarsson in a 1,500,000 euros record transfer. In Europe, we almost get to the Champions League group stage, but we can't get through the playoffs against Shakhtar Donetsk (1-0 win in Visby, 3-0 loss in Donetsk). In the Europa League group stage, we get 0 points in the first 3 games. We still have to play the last three games. At the beginning of the league, we start by having a mid-table team behaviour. In the first 11 games, we win 6 games and lose 5. But then we come out of absolutely nowhere to win all the following 18 league matches. We win the title, again, with five matches in advance.

So, this is where I ask you something. I don't know what to do at the end of this season. I've done so many things, I would love to continue with this team but at this point I don't know if I could do anything different with the same team. Do I continue with this team? Do I leave the team at the end of the season and start managing another team (obviously in another league)? Do I just leave the save right here and start some new ones? You people are free to advise me!

    Shouldn't potentials be more dynamic?

    Posted: 13 Feb 2020 01:38 PM PST

I would argue that if you put Mbappé playing in a Conference team he would play better than everybody else but after a few years his progress would be less than usual. On the contrary if you take an average/good player and put him in a great team he could improve a lot more than playing in an average/good team, wouldn't he?

I would argue that players should always have dynamic potentials, instead of 1 to 200, it should be from save to save and from context to context. More playing time in a bigger team, bigger potential, etc., less playing time or playing in a smaller league, less potential.
