    A story about a club legend

    I'm in a Falkirk save sitting in January of 2021/22 and suddenly I have the need for a striker. Sitting 1st in the prem I need to retain my place. I do the usual scouting of all the random clubs that sometimes by random give good defend and I stumble upon Derry City. I see an 18 year old with a high valuation. A man who, little did I know, within one season would be a legend.

    Andy Doherty.

    I signed him for a measly 550k and instantly but him in the team. In 18 games he scored 17. I thought, fair enough decent striker. But next year he stepped it up.

    In Summer I fought off Celtic and leading championship clubs to keep my northern Irish king who at this point was valued at 5 million.

    That season was a dream. Opened with a 6-0 win at Ross County and knew it would be good. We breezed through the CL groups thanks to goals from Doherty with a 6-4 in Dortmund being the highlight.

    But then January came. Suddenly Man U, Chelsea and Bayern wanted my boy. Probably because he had about 44 goals in 28 games across all comps.

    Rumours are flying about his departure and I try to negotiate a contract. I press that button and I see that Doherty is more interested in staying than going to Bayern. What an icon!

    We smash through the second half of the season and get to the CL Semis. We lose to Barca. Our only competitive loss that whole season.

    Doherty scores 51 league goals and 79 altogether. Breaks 4 records and gets the Europe golden shoe. Is top scorer in 4 tournaments and wins both Player of the years.

    We do the treble but then summer rolls around. The dreaded 'Wnt' is next to my whole first team and I know a fight is coming. I'm trying to save others all over the place. My GK, LW and CB leave. But not Doherty. With a week and a half to go the unthinkable happens. An offer for Doherty. Man U. I give them a fuck off valuation of 120 million. And they match it. Shit.

    My sweet angel leaves me but not before becoming a Falkirk legend. I hope one day he gets a stadium named after him. He may have gone to Manchester but he will always be a bairn.

    Playing FM20 with a DoF doing all transfers

    I'm making myself the game a little bit harder. I'm playing Manchester United and I can't do any transfers. All transfers and contracts are handled by my DoF and other staff.

    The DoF decides who to buy and who to sell. For this not to become a complete failure I found a list of the best DoF in the game and I got myself Luis Campos. He bought Lucas Leiva as first transfer, which was very weird but it worked well. Later he bought Neves for $100M which was horribly expensive but I made it work.

    And finally, bought a non scouted Brazilian wonderkid for 29k. I checked him, he had potential ability 178. Yes, he got him for $29,000!

    Two new stadiums in one save

    I'm currently deep into my build a nation save with IL Hødd in Norway.

    It didn't take long for me to take them from 2 divisjon (third tier) to Eliteserien, and now we completely dominate in Norway and Europe. We have won the Eliteserien 20 years in a row and also won multiple Champions League titles with a 5-star worldwide team reputation.

    In 2021 my first new stadium was built with a capacity (after expanding a few times) of 10,800. We've been selling it out ever since for nearly every home game in the league (depending who we play) as well as selling out for every single Champions League match. Annual season ticket sales have also sold out for every year which are just under 10,000 tickets.

    I know about the 20-year-rule for new stadiums so I kept grinding through the years to get to 2041 and the option to ask for a new stadium finally appeared again, but, every time I ask the board for a new one they decline my request stating that we don't have a big enough fanbase to justify building another stadium.

    I don't get what else I can do to achieve a new one with a bigger capacity as I feel we could be making so much more money from gate receipts if we did. Rosenborg and Molde have even built new ones with around a 40,000ish capacity with only 20,000ish season ticket holders.

    Is there anything else I can do? Or is the dream dead because IL Hødd are situated in a small town in Ulsteinvik with a population of only 5,788 people?

    We also hover around £800 million in the bank.
