    Soemthing fishy...

    Posted: 21 Apr 2019 08:55 PM PDT

Managing Brentford and had Julian Jeanvier come up to me being unhappy with his lack of game time. I told him that the Ezri Konsa was playing well and didn't want to drop him.

He obviously thought Konsa wasn't playing well but I promised him some minutes regardless. After that Neal Maupay came up to me saying they were unhappy with my treatment of Jeanvier and wanted to play with him in some games.

    2 days later...

Konsa is out for 3-4 months with a injury following a collision in training between him and Maupay.

    Coincidence? I think not.

The Art of the Deal: Manchester City style

    Posted: 21 Apr 2019 12:45 PM PDT

First time this has happened in any FM for me in the literal 100's of season I've done across them all.

    Posted: 21 Apr 2019 07:55 PM PDT

Who is your “he probably isn’t good enough, but I’m going to sign him anyway” go to fella?

    Posted: 21 Apr 2019 01:22 PM PDT

You know the one. He's not technically gifted, he'll probably sit on the side line for most of the season or be brought on in the 80th minute at Stoke and he's not going to top the score board.

Maybe you signed him once and he stayed loyal his entire career, maybe he got you a 4th round FA cup replay at Watford when you were a league 2 side, or netted the winner in the 2-1 derby game.

Whatever the reason, you know in your head that he's not very good - but you still sign him because you feel in your heart it's the right decision.

I've always been an admirer of good old fashion headers. If you've got pacey wingers and a tall man in the middle - you can beat anyone. You smash it long or whip it into the box, and hope for the best. Enter, Peter Crouch.

Is he going to get into my starting 11 at Real Madrid, Crystal Palace, Dortmund or any other side I play with? Probably not. Will I still make an effort to sign him regardless? Absolutely.

Tell me the player that isn't going to make into your starting 11 most of time, but you still sign for sentimental or other reasons.

    Rough Day at work

    Posted: 21 Apr 2019 03:40 AM PDT

I was just casually playing a bit of FM before bed last night (FM17 is still my go to) when in my new Czech 4th division save I noticed Leicester and Everton got relegated in season 1. Cue me taking over Leicester, selling everyone and spending until 4am doing transfers. 12 hour shift today. gulp.

Making the game more interesting (for me)

    Posted: 21 Apr 2019 03:13 PM PDT

So I've played all fm games since they were champ man games, I'd say I have a good knack for it by now, so I tend to usually pick a team and stuck with them for at least 20 years, unless I get the sack.

So I'm at the point where my team is full of regens and they're pretty much unbeatable..... so now what I'm doing is getting my best youth intakes and playing 3-4 of them every game, bearing in mind they are between 16 and 18 obviously not up to their full potential, so to cut it short :/ I'm not unbeatable but the satisfaction is now seeing the youth getting assist and the odd goal here and there.

It makes it more fun for me, they never really blossom into the players they should be,well maybe 1 or 2 per season but isn't that what it's all about? Trying to Bring the youth from the area into legends.

Nights seem like a pointless post but I thought I'd share the little things I do in the game to make it more interesting, for me

Why defenders hit the ball like this ...they should control the ball when there’s no one around them to press them.... this needs to be fix
