Board sells both my goalkeepers on January deadline day Posted: 14 Apr 2019 01:57 PM PDT Playing as Milton Keynes and I'm in the championship playoff places in January. I decide to sell my keeper Freddie Woodman to Arsenal on deadline day for £14million to free up money for the rest of the squad because my 20 year old regen John Barnes (no relation I think!) is good enough to step up to the first team. Hours later and Everton come in with a bid for Barnes which the board accept as too good leaving me with an hour and a half to sign a new keeper. Not enough time as no decent keepers on the transfer or loan list so now I'm left with a 1.5 star 21 year old from my reserves till the end of the season 🙈 [link] [comments] | ||

Director of Football/Head of Youth modes Posted: 14 Apr 2019 02:07 PM PDT Am I the only one who would love this to bits? Yes I know you can technically do both by letting your assistant handle first team matches, but you will still get blamed for everything despite focusing primarily on signings or youth games. The roles already exist in game with their own functions: why not let us play them? You do not need to change anything for head of youth development aside from expectations (developing young players over results). You can manage national teams youth but cannot control a club's youth system/program. The managerial aspect is still there, just different. As for director of football: you just handle contracts and sign players your manager (or even board in some cases) may want. Build a team around a manager's style and control the finances adequately. Have meetings with them and the board over matters and be judged on how well the signings perform among other things. Discuss plans to affiliate with a club, etc. Also the co-op aspect of these would be great. I would love to be a mate's DoF or part of their coaching staff as a Head of Youth Development. Is it still considered save scumming? Posted: 14 Apr 2019 12:04 PM PDT Sooo I managed Chelsea for 10 seasons and then I got fired. I won them 5 Champions Leagues, 8 league titles and multiple FA Cups. I got fired for complaining to the media about not getting an improved transfer budget.. So life goes on, and I sign a contract at Bayern Munich for the next season. I knocked out by Valencia on away goals and now Chelsea get to play Porto in the final. I really don't want them to win.. Would it still be considered save scumming if I reloaded the game everytime until Porto wins? [link] [comments] |
