    My scouting strategy to get the best young players in the game. Many will have their own strategy but hopefully this can help some

    So, the easy way if you have an unlimited scouting budget is to just mass scout youth intakes, but that will make you scroll through hundreds of shit players and as I'm managing a small team, I don't have that kind of budget.

    I'm aware most people may have their own strategies, even better than this, but here goes nothing:

    • Activate the senior and youth world scouting packages. It takes lot of budget for a small team but it's worth it and you can just take it off after searching for the players

    • Search players -> Edit search -> go for players max 20 years old, add the condition International -> International Caps -> At least 1.

    The game's national teams will just call whatever players are best for their team without regard for age or team, so crazy regens will start playing for their NT very early in their career. I'd recommend scouting everyone you see here until going down to a value of idk 30k€. Even if they are from remote nations, most of these players will be promising.

    • Then, another strategy for undercutting the "big boys" and sign players under their nose. Change "International caps" for "International Team" -> "U21s/U20s". (same for the U19s can be done too)

      If you have patience, you can scout everyone here, but if you want to just pick players that will be good, sort by Player Status Information (or inf as it shows). Scroll all the way down, until you see players that have the tag "Wanted". Then, if you put your cursor inside the Wanted sign, it will show which clubs are following the player.

    Look for players that are being followed by big teams or even some medium size teams, and most likely, they will be absolute gems. These big teams don't usually go for the player fast, specially if you are doing this outside of a transfer window, so you'll have time to scout them and sign them if they're tasty without them interfering.

    Hopefully this helped someone, specially people that are starting with the game!

    It all has to do with Mourinho's Mindgames stat (which is 20 in FM 18 and probably the same in FM 19)

    Mind games during press conferences definitely can win or lose games before they are even played and I think that Mourinho's AI affects the other AI managers too much and allows for easy wins and always allow United to amass a large amount of points every season.

    Anyone play with a sweeper keeper?

    Got a quality looking young GK on loan and he is rated as a natural sweeper keeper whilst only competent as a standard GK.

    I play quite an attacking style of football and my back 4 is decent but not amazing (I don't keep many clean sheets) so would it be worth playing a sweeper keeper to free up my defenders to support the midfield a bit more or is it too much of a risk?
